Hi Jeff. Perfectly in line with the need and simplicity to do the proper adjustment of the Flysurfer foil kites. Just some adds-up if I may: -A more accurate mixer test is available on these kites, the long mixer test, as it includes variations in the bar lines and in the small bridles - you need to pull a bit more on your lines during test (5kg) - you need to pull hard on the knots when you change their adjustments before testing again the position Another vid for reference from their designer ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wYXqPgO0Dc4.html
Jeffe you do so many great Videos. This one is not. Armin made (several mixer videos). A to Z need alligning before doing anything. But most important you totally missed the long mixer test unique and big advantage from FS over other Brands... at least link the other fantastic Videos
I agree that some videos from Armin are more complete, but some of them from the Flysurfer RU-vid account are telling the same thing and no more. I appreciate Jeff for the simplicity of the explanations , of why and how to do. 😎 I gave on another comment the link to the best explanations from Armin, given when visiting the Canadian RU-vidrs of MyKiteLife! I must also admit that Flysurfer kite lines are more likely to be stretched with high winds and twin tip use than with light winds and foil board use! 🤓
ok, this short mixer test is not accurate tbh. it's fine for a new kite that requires minor adjustments. the bridle lines are way longer than what you are adjusting with the short mixer thus you should do the long mixer adjustment that caters the whole length of the bridle and the mixer lines. here comes the trick though... after some time you are running out of C line adjustment. it needs to be lengthened beyond its adjustability. what do you do then? 🤷🏻🤷🏻 another issue with the mixer adjustment (long) is that after some time the Z line shortens quite a lot as it works under no tension. if you anchor A and Z at the same point without credit for the shorten Z line you are basically trying to adjust sheeted in kite which is not correct neither (doing the long mixer adjustment)
