if u were in your 20's in the 80's in southern ontario..this was the song to enjoy. and will always bring back the memories. !!! enjoy, and thanks for posting
FM never sucked. Can you blame the guys for wanting a hit single? "Just like you" and "Dream girl" still bring back good memories of the 80's, not bad ones. But then again, I grew up on 80's pop radio and most FM fans grew up in the 70's.
The girl in this video had a stage name (she was an exotic dancer aka stripper) named Holly Woods (not to be confused with the lead singer in the band 'Toronto') She came thru the Alberta strip club scene a few times in the 80's.
WOW! Hard to believe this is the same prog rock FM from "Phasors on Stun" (relative) fame!!! I've never heard any of their music past City of Fear! This is so sad! But nearly every band has to reach out to try and achieve some success as the times change! Stunning!!!
@gmansi Or ... the Cars sound like FM. They both emerged around the same time. Although early FM was much better. Black Noise is one of my favourite albums.
kurdtss!! A MILLION THANKS for finding and posting this. I was convinced this was the Cars 1st several times i heard it on CFNY. Thanks again for posting(i see u read your requests..lol)
Wow. The internet's an amazing thing. I havent seen this vid since I was a young 'un....I only saw it once, but it stuck in my head. Now, 22 years later... Wow. I had HORRIBLE music taste back then haha
Yep! That was with Ben Mink instead of Nash The Slash. I prefer the Ben stuff myself. Anyone got any live FM from that tour? I went right out and bought their best album after that tour- "City Of Fear"
I was having lunch at Wendy's and I heard this song over the radio. Never heard it before. Thought it was a new song. I guess it must be in my subconscious from the 80's. I loved it. But I listened to the band's other songs and didn't like any of them.
