Factories pay top riders to ride 4-strokes so all the up and comers feel like they need 4-strokes and then the dealers make tons of money fixing all the blown engines. 2-Strokes were better, are better, and will always be better.

The 4-stroke, CC against CC, will always loose. The suspensions are not anything special on a 4 stroke especially if both 2 stroke and 4 stroke are built by same suspension tuner with same valving quality. Modify a 4stroke to make big power, you can do the same to a 2-srtoke to make bigger power. The factories push 4-strokes and put all there money into 4 stroke riders because Iike I said in a previous post, the dealers rake in loads of cash fixing blown up 4 strokes. In Canada a 250 2 stroke has won the 250 pro championship 2 years in a row...and that is with a stock 2-stroke! Time to set the record straight on this debate - using math...math doesn't lie. Im using the factory specs to do the math for this comparison both bikes stock; Bike: Yamaha YZ250F Weight = 231 lbs HP = 39 Power to weight ratio = 0.168 HP per pound Bike: Yamaha YZ 250 (2-Stroke) Weight = 218 lbs HP = 49 Power to weight ratio = 0.224 HP per pound Bike: Yamaha YZ450F Weight = 247lbs HP = 56 Power to weight ratio = 0.226 HP per pound My YZ250 (2 Stroke) Bike: 1998 (yep thats right) YZ 250 (2 Stroke) Weight 212 lbs HP after engine mods and Fat Pipe = Dyno run showed 59 HP Power to weight ratio = 0.279 HP per pound As you can see, a stock YZ250 (2-stroke) has far greater power to weight ratio then the 250F and almost identical power to weight ratio to 450F. The debate is over. My older YZ 250 has best power to weight ration by far even against the 450F. Note: Its easy to make more power over stock with a 2-stroke; It costs many thousands to get any real power gain out of a 4 stroke.

@@truthbetold8425 max hp means nothing. Usable hp and torque matters.

@@rossy2998 power is controlled at the wrist. Having ample extra available power is always a gain. Why? Lets say your running a guy down that's infront, but you cant get the pass done because you are both equal riders, but, there is one section of track that is wide open throttle for 3 gears, almost to 5th. If your bike has the extra "unusable power", guess what??? Yep, you can out accelerate, be first to the braking zone and make the pass. Never underestimate the importance of extra available power.

Srib 250cc is what you are looking for. Some 500s in the vid too but you are far from even thinking about getting that lol. You're welcome. The vid had 125-500cc 2 stroke bikes. - I own a 2001 YZ250. Yami makes great 2 strokes so you can't go wrong with them :)

stellastarr69 yeah, Mike Brown and Colton Haaker were there for Husqvarna. I think Brown ended up fourth and Haaker I think was fifth. Sean Collier was out front on the KX500

It's cheaper it sounds cooler and their faster faster. Win win win

👍2 Strokes were affordable racing for privateers & low matenince compared with todays high strung 4 Stroke MXers- No friggin Valve Clearence Nightmare👎-Just Occasional Ring or Piston Replacement - & Eventual Barrel Re-Bore or Re-Plate after a couple Seasons- if Maintained Correctly - With Correct Oil/Fuel Ratio & Religious Airfilter Cleaning & Oiling- Folks Have Finally Woken - Unless Your a Sponsored Pro- Get a 2 Stroke & Enjoy Riding/Racing For Best Fun:$$ Ratio- Cheers-👍🍺🍻

N-Rider hell yes it is if its been taken care of, things to check are its compression and MAKE SURE the rear linkage has been greased and is not all frozen up as that can be super expensive to repair if so
