I've had the older model of this plane for years and years, many flights on it. No stabilization, no auto leveling. It is very stable. I put a different prop on it, larger diameter, slightly lower pitch and a lot thinner and that gave it a little more oomph. Very relaxing flyer. I made some modifications to get better airflow over the battery and esc.

OK. Just did my maiden flight for my channel. For a first plane I don't think this is a good idea. Mine doesn't have reflex, and I promise like this it's gonna get decked by a newbie. I forgot what it was like to fly without assists. STRESSFUL lol. But rewarding. This might be a good SECOND plane idk. Feels underpowered. But still fun because well RC Airplane :) 5/10 IMO Fun but challenging and under powered.

I hope to be at your level on my channel someday as far as airplanes go. I'm trying to do it all using hobby as my genre. Hotwheels, airplanes, RC cars, etc etc. Airplanes will always be my favorite and that's why I love what you do.

I'm here for the comedy and wondering if BrianPhillipRC and Camera Crew™ will show a two hour video of vehicle traffic passing the house? My county is the largest in Washington State yet we only have three traffic lights but even we have a car pass every couple of hours. I've not seen a single vehicle pass in any videos. ;-) IMHO....I like the style of the plane but it doesn't glide well enough. Looks to me like the toughest plane I've seen you fly.

If you make the plane tail heavy, it will "tip stall" but this plane and most planes will just fine if you get it nose heavy.

We will eventually use some Lemon Rx receivers, but can't say exactly when. They are good! We used them in Mike's plane on our Subscriber Special not too long ago, if that helps...we did do a RADIO SETUP on his plane.

Hey Brian I'm new to the hobby and I used to own the sport cub s2 but first flight i crashed and broke the propleler, second flight i crashed it and never found it. So, now I own the Areoscout 1.1 meter and I was curious if you could give me any tips so i don't crash again. For example what is the best way to turn. Please just give me some tips. Also, anyone else feel free to give me advice

Go back and watch THOSE videos. They're filled with tips. AeroScout 1.1m | bit.ly/3OlqyYQ | bit.ly/3ztp9Li Just fly often, and plan for lots of room to make turns. If you're site is too small, go somewhere more wide opened. Never take your eyes off the plane, and NEVER have someone BLABBING in your ears while you're learning to fly. Maybe ONE instructor, but more than that, literally MOVE and get away from distractions. This will help. I was once training my neighbor to fly the UMX Sport Cub, and he decided to say hi to his wife when she pulled into the driveway - I was like, WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!!!!! Then we proceeded to search for the next hour or more to find the plane that had done a fancy "Fly Away" trick - crazy thing is, WE FOUND IT!!! Like a mile away in chest high grass!!!! But this is a perfect example of what NOT to do - most won't find the plane (like your situation). I remember when I was a NEW pilot, I used to announce to onlookers, something like this, "Okay guys, I don't want any excuse to blame you for what happens, so please be quite for the flight", then when I landed, I'd announce, "okay, carry on" - This is good advice if you process things like I do, which is within the context of lots of things happening all around. You NEED to be able to learn what to focus on, and how to react to what you're seeing. If there's lots of chatter, it makes learning to fly very- VERY difficult for an easily distracted, or overly thoughtful type of person, who wants to avoid appearance of being a jerk (by ignoring others) - Just BE A JERK - they'll forgive you, but if you announce before hand, they'll get it... Another tip, just think about using a simulator for a while, if you want to start to build muscle memory. It will feel boring, if you're like me, and very much can cause some bad habits, so make sure you ALWAYS take off and ALWAYS land...don't just get up there and screw around. Work on getting into the air, and then landing. Don't waste time - it will take a long time when you're new. Simulators make aerobatics a bit easier, since there's almost no consequences. This will make a huge difference when you get on the sticks in real life. Good luck. Fly a lot. Get help. Don't give up
