Go watch the video a few more times. The tailevon was well beyond the controllable stroke which is why she rolled over. What else do you think it would have been??? That's the only part that I had to replace, and then I flew it again for THIS video, and that's the only time she's flown - the first crash and this flight. Didn't you see that neither tailevons was damaged! If the linkage were damaged by the crash, don't you suspect they would have been damaged too??? You're not adding up ALL the information. If you want to argue about it, please get ALL the facts straight, then draw whatever conclusion you want. I really don't understand why you feel the need to argue about this! It was a simple manufacturing defect. We were lucky to have been able to figure out what happened so easy.

I absolutely agree! Great job! There are some channels that have their camera crew zoom altogether way too far in. Then they lose the plane, and the camera is all jerky, I get pukey, and I’m out of that vid😂 But seriously, you guys do such an amazing job! Thank you, and keep up the excellent work!

jive7777 - I love zoom, but totally agree it can just about make you feel sick on some footage - jerking here and there and planes in and out of frame. Plus sometimes no reference for speed and flight maneuvers, but it is nice to when it's well executed! Some day, we want to get a better optical zoom apparatus so we can zoom without loosing so much fidelity. The digital zoom seems to really lose the 4K value quick, but Megan does such nice work to help make up for any of these shortfalls in our equipment!!!

Hey Brian, I’d like to say first you are a good pilot, great job on the repair. It turned out pretty darn good for the carnage. I love your channel and I’d say I prefer your content to any of the others. I’ve learned more from watching your videos than any other channel out there. Nice video kudos to the videographer, keeping the plane in the frame at all times and great flying. That battery pack looks swollen, LIPO is not forgiving, it could catch on fire. That is a very good looking plane.

Hello from The Great State of Confusion, Maryland. Randy, your sailboat RC airplane flier here. Brian, I love to watch you fly. Great job camera crew! My Volantex 750mm P-51 has been my crash/fix/fly, crash/fix/fly bird. After my first "learning experience" I just let it all hang. I went for every maneuver I could think of. After I replaced the RTF receiver, she has been a great plane to fly. BTW, no more tail flutter at high speeds.

Great repair job done and what a resurrection flight. Actually you’re a great pilot as there are enough trees and obstacles to end the flight with…its not like the easiest rc airfield around. I love the SU-27/35 model. The silhouette in the sky is beyond anything, especially like this video in the sunset. For me the most beautiful fighter jet.

Great repair job. I still consider myself a beginner/novice which means I've done a lot of fixing and sometimes making parts. I'm lucky to have a full shop of most everything. Hot glue not used much if at all. Thanks for all the info over the time I've watched. Both of you!

Excellent repair job. For that damage, looks incredible buddy. I would have loved to watch the repairs being done. Pretty impressive flight, and no repeated trimming needed???? Thanks so much Jeffrey! We decided NOT to film the repair, since it would have been a 10+ hour video...lots of delicate and picky work. It's hard on the family, these longer videos. It's nice to be able to hang out and work on the plane while the kids are playing, and listening to music. It's just a different experience, but we do love to share some of the more specific repairs. These ones are like putting together a puzzle - seriously - it's just pretty tedious, but can't believe how many pieces just end up going where you think they should, and then soon enough it's all in ONE piece again!!!

I know very few RC pilot's who do not struggle with "pucker factor" on a maiden. Got guys in the club who fly big stuff and still suffer from pucker factor when they bring out a new 1.5/2 m foamie. I watched the president of our club stand at the side of the runway this summer and do the big inhale/exhale for a foamie maiden and he frequently flies a darn 3m edge flipping and flopping it (15+yrs of experience)... Do you Brian, that's why I come back!!!

Pucker factor is REAL! Sometimes it's palpable! As you realize, we are often times filming our flights for the first, second, or third time with most planes, so it's been a steep learning curve for me as still a relatively new RC pilot. I LOVE flying, but there are times I'd love a longer, wider runway ;) Jets really push my limits at times, but that's such a great part of learning!!!

Brian I truly enjoy watching what a pure box stock plane will give you. All that Upgrading servos , ESC’s and especially upgrading the RX to gain telemetry and channels to a plane that it normally doesn’t come with ., ahhhh all that just doesn’t do much for me . And then dialing in mixes that are way beyond stock doesn’t sell the plane as well as watching how it handles in your hands right out of the box. I watch the other channels and enjoy seeing what these planes can become but I don’t have a shit load of cash to dump into a plane to make it perform way better then box stock. Keeping it real is why I follow you . Keep up the great content and don’t change a thing. But for Gods sake be a little easier on those batteries. LOL . Brian the battery burner.

I agree - we feel like ANYONE can modify and upgrade these planes to make them do virtually anything...not that there's no value or fun in seeing it, BTW, but what we plan to bring and continue bringing is stock performance and highs and lows of a "real customer experience" - even when that means showing a flaw that caused catastrophic failure, which is somewhat uncommon in our experience ;) Thanks Bill for being here with us...and don't feel bad about not having enough cash to MODIFY these planes with 10 new "better" servos - I think that's generally a fools errand - these planes are expensive enough as they are stock, but to all their own!

She is fantastic! I can't believe she can keep these planes in frame, and especially with tough lighting like it was here. Esteban was coming to fly, and we had to BOOOOOOOK to get this flight in! Very glad we did too and super impressed with just how amazing my 3/4 tube of Mucilage and bamboo skewers worked out to get this back from the grave!

No buddy is doing what you do.. from flights to kitchen repairs,set up, radio ,exc. It's just awesome, and I like how you say just fly it and relax ... If I could just fly them all like they've been wrecked...I do better and nighttime flying Timber X... 😉 my age following lights lol Happy holiday to you and the camera crew, family.

3/4 bottle of mucilage, lots of patience, and some CA here and there. IT was just like putting together the worlds crappiest puzzle - LOL ;) We only lost maybe 2-3 small pieces of plastic. Actually, it's incredible how well you can piece these things back together!

Dude very nice! But is it really worth the price ?? It looks awesome! But the price is pushing outside of the expected prices for edf jets on Horizon, MotionRC . But man it looks good!!

I think these EDF jets are hard to show just how amazing they are on camera. They're a sight to see in person, and super detailed. My only complaint with ANY edf Jet, is they tend to get WAAAAY out there and it can be hard to see them. I'd like the MFG'ers to start helping us slow them down, without the insane tipstalls that we all fear. I wonder if slats or leading edge flaps might be helpful? They'd be dang cool ;) As for the price. Everything is getting crazy, but it's just hard to imagine being able to build one for anywhere near these prices...granted you'd also be very hard pressed to make it look this dang good too ;) I know it CAN be done, but not for 1/3 the price, I bet. My issue is more along the lines of how much these TWINS like to kill nearly $200 batteries - this would make these planes REALLY expensive to fly...so mind your throttle management p's and q's if you get one ;)

I totally agree about the extra cost of killing batteries. The jet itself is beautiful and so tempting to buy! But blowing through minimum $150 batteries like it’s nothing is the harder decision. If these could run off twin batteries like you mentioned, that could influence more people to feel confident in purchasing this jet and other twin EDFs. Thank you for doing these reviews! I’ve been into this hobby for about 8 years and pretty good at flying jets! But running 🏃‍♂️ through batteries 🪫 is what’s holding me back from picking this one up 😢

It's happened a few times, but we CAN actually put them down on the main runway if we need too. I'd like to build a crosswind strip just over the tree line, now that the power lines aren't blocking the would be approach.

Fly, crash, repair! Great to see! Love it. RIP 6s! 😂 Agree 100% on 12s….my 600/700 class helicopters are 12s….got rid of my old 6s helicopter….ate those 6s’s like candy. Helicopters are well known Lipo killers 😅These Jets suffer with that same issue.

100% It's crazy too... 50C and quality packs no less. I'd hate to kill a 12S pack, but I realize you're probably doing 2X in series, right? A buddy of mine flies 12S heli's and good lordy - it is SCARY to watch!!! I stand behind poles when they demo that stuff!
