Yes, he is slowly becoming aware of himself. Danoh was also confused when Kyung was showing concern and acting a bit strange in the shadow. He secretly glance or check on her whenever shadow goes on. Stage scenes are mostly the time when he is being cruel to her.
He loves her more, he just doesnt show it, he does not want to recognize his feelings because of the scars he have with his mom dying and his dad. He hates how much he worries about her.
Also when he became conscious he started to realize that his actions to here in the stage were to harsh and cruel, he even wanted to apologize when it wasn't his fault what the author wanted him to say or do. And yes, he loved her but he knew she was already in love with Haru so and that it was too late for them to be a thing.
I don’t think she necessarily reminds him of his mom in the way that she sick. I think it’s more of him not showing his feelings because he hates how he worries about her so much and maybe if he doesn’t show his love for her then it will hurt less if or when she dies. But idk
Baekyung doesnt like danoh cuz his dad you know how is his dad character. Baekyung and danoh are lovely childhood friend. And time by time bk dad force bk to love danoh, thats why bk started doesnt like danoh
Bagus Setyo he do love her every much and care her seen they are kid, at first I hate him but after those ep I got to learn more about him and his true self and how much he was suffering and she was the only one left for him his was scared to loose her, idc if he doesn’t end up with her all I want is for him to find happiness :’(( he been through enough I wish Dan oh appreciate him more and get to know his true self cuz she only remember his stage personality I think u miss a lot of point of him and his true self
Ok not having read the webtoon I didnt get why so many people were rooting for Baek Kyung. He was a jerk to her on both stage and shadow. Buuuuut the last couple of episodes I realized how much I look forward to scenes between them. I can't wait for Bk to find out the truth and I look forward to seeing him regret his actions towards Dan oh
Because rowon character is so boring or rowon acting doesnt have impact at all... chemistry between hyeyeon and jaewook beyond amazing , i can feel how much kyung character actually care danoh alot
No baek kyoung really like danoh but his father always threaten him using eun danoh because it will affect their business he hate that fact that's why he always hurt her he think she is forcing her father for those kind of thinks actually he worry about her in shadow but in stage pretend to be rude.
Yasmin Attamimi To Rowoon's defence his character was written to be this no name faceless character so thats probably why he's not as interesting as Baek Kyung (for now). Not gonna deny tho the chemistry between Jaewook and Hyeyeon is definitely better ❤️😫 its gonna hurt real bad later on.
Manuja Hewawasam No I get that he was written that way. I think tho that he's not self aware yet and so he's still a jerk even in the shadows. Its gonna be so satisfying to see him act on his own.

They were childhood friends so im sure baek kyung has special affection for Dan Oh...it's just that he hates the fact that he is forced to please her or to marry her..his father doesn't treat him right😢
From what I watched ,here is my opinion, he loves her ,he cares abt her, she hold a special place in his heart, but sadly it's too late, haru alr took her heart away, baek kyung didn't treat her better bcs he doesn't want to lose another person he loves so much , and to these current episodes ,he knows he had to take care of her , he will soon show how much she loves her , bcs from the start before even haru show up , he care abt her when she collapse, get jealous when she didn't pick the polaroid of him and why you have to be jealous to someone u never love? It's bcs he loves. But I love danoh sm , Haru helped her alot while she was broken and couldn't found her way This is by far the best kdrama of the month and I can't predict the ending I LOVE ALL THREE OF THEM

This is drama I'm trying to watch every week after a long time, and damn the storyline and the casts, I mean Dan Oh with 1st lead or second lead or even 3rd lead male is ship-able and there are soooooo many fan video, god!

I love him and haru. The only thing that angered me was when he said “it’s not like your dying” about her heart disease. I couldn’t let that one go and maybe that’s why I cheer on for haru. But still I want him happy. He’s so confused about what part of him is the stage and what’s real and it makes me cry sometimes.
Kyung said that because he did believe that Dan oh was using her heart condition in order to grab some attention. He partly wanted to believe this cause he did not want to acknowledge the fact that her heart condition is serious... it is his defence mechanism. I can feel how heart broken Kyung is with Dan oh but he was not yelling at her or kicking anything. He keeps it to himself. Lee Jae Wook is a very good actor.

T_T tbh DOs comic character is pretty devoted (? 10 years - one sided love..which is pretty unrealistic in real life) haha so i dont know how i would feel on the other side if i did not like them...it wouldn't be pleasant. good thing DO's true character is the opposite haha. they have a good fiery/angst between them and it will be interesting to see BK with his true self. i always end up liking these wounded characters so sad because it won't be good haha... i like haru too in his own ways but so far BK is written to be more dimensional which makes it more interesting
Baek kyung loved eun dan oh but he didnt want to be hurt when she dies! just like with his mom baek kyung just gave up on her getting better because he believed his mom wouldnt die! So baek kyung wasnt the bad guy he was just Broken. And when baek kyung saw her with haru he knew he lost but still thought that he could get her back but he was way to late, baek kyung wanted haru to leave so he tried to make him go away and when he disappeared he knew he was to late for her to like him again like in the book.
I wish his character on stage was the same as in the shadow (his normal self) because then I wouldn’t feel hurt seeing him wanting her when she doesn’t feel the same. 🤦🏽♀️💔 This drama has got me fucked up 🤦🏽♀️

Baekyung's character is all soo complicated. 1. He knows his family is using her to gain more in business which makes him mad. 2. How do you act nonchalant about the woman you love having to die early just as your mom? 3. The writer was immaculately wicked making Bakyung's character say harsh words only. 4. Despite all his words he has stayes with her and helped her many times though being at the hospital constantly scares him. (Actions should've spoken louder but...) 5. Dan Oh could forgive others by the excuse of stage even when Haru was sometimes weird on stage, she forgave, but acted like it's weird that Baekyung will act different whenever the stage was over? Duhhh, stage and shadows are different as she knew. 6. Baekyung only had DanOh. In conclusion, Baekyung has it the worst. Though he tried to be better and apologise in the shadows, he was always met with iciness as if it's his fault. They all understood the writer controlled everything on stage but treated Baekyung like he is to blame in the shadows as well.
Kyung is the reason whay da noh is still alive bc they are childhood bff dan oh dont want to take medicin but when kyung is their he is taking medicen bc kyung always give da noh his fav food when she take her medicen and kyung kindness dissaper when her real mother died and kyung care about da noh but she always said that he hate ill person bc everyone in the scool knows that da noh can die and she dont want to love him so much bc he is worried that he will lost the one he love like her mother and the exact ospital that da noh whas going is the ospital that her mother died her father say that he need to be bside da noh when she is going to the ospital she is scared that any moment the danoh is in the ospital bised him to die infront of him that he will suffer the exact same felling when here mother died so she keep pushing him away cause he rimend him of her mother and he know that if they get merried her dad will use da noh and his money kyung dont want da noh to be used by kyung parrent get it
