So I actually work a night shift job that goes from 12 am to 6:30 am and I have a big tv screen set up by the owners that displays CCTV footage of the premises of where i work streamed through a desktop computer. since nothing really ever happens where I work, I have to play something in the background on the computer so the monitor doesn't go into sleep mode and the cameras get reset. Almost everytime I work, I play the fnaf ambience in the background to fit the vibe, haha. The job I work is a gatehouse job, so I also have the ability to close a large gate through which people enter on property and leave. There are two buttons in my office space that look very similar to the ones in the game. when I am working my shifts they can be used to close and open the doors as you may have guessed! I'm kiiiinda sorta living out my childhood dream of being a fnaf night guard right now, and that's one of the reasons I really like my job. I'm super thankful for it! :) wish me luck I don't get stuffed into a suit on duty lol :P
This makes me feel like I'm walking through hundreds of square miles of random halls and corridors of mono yellow wallpaper and carpet with yellow fluorescent lights
Because I always study at night, I started listening to this after getting tired of listening to music. I imagine myself being mike in ffps office-vent, doing "tasks" (homework), and turning lights away and laying in bed whenever I hear "animatronics" (my parents)
The funny thing is that I have fluorescent light fixtures in my basement and I have a tendency to stay up until 1-2am doing things so if I'm completely silent I hear the lights buzzing in this exact tone
The idea of listening to this ambience occurred to me solely because I have a lidded cup of Coca Cola near my monitor that looks very similar to the one in the FNaF office, stripes and everything, and I felt the need to complete the feel of it
