Our winter tour of the far north - Cairns, the Daintree and the Atherton Tablelands, including the western savannah country. After our rainforest experience in the Daintree we move on to Mossman, then climb to the higher, drier Atherton Tablelands. In a very different environment we stay in a classic Queensland bush hotel, see new wildlife and intriguing crops, ride a gravel rail-trail to Atherton, and cross a few steep hills to Yungaburra.
