Love the Bath bomb and thank you for sharing this delightful Unicorn inspired tutorial. I have never added Emulsifying wax but maybe that can make a difference to my bombs. I love your recipe. I’m looking for a recipe to create a unicorn bath powder instead of bath bombs. I don’t like the idea of SLSA. Could I potentially use your bath bomb recipe with emulsifying wax to make my powder instead of making it into a moulded bomb? Your recipe is the only one I’ve been able to find that doesn’t have SLSA. Please help!

Yes! This will work, just make the recipe up to the point where I'm about to mold it. Over time, it will become less bubbly, but it will work!

I love your recipe but I had a problem with the emulsifying wax…. It wouldn’t melt. I had to buy a different brand because of where I live. They are tiny little pellets similar to beeswax pellets I used the microwave. Do you have any thoughts, advice for next time? Thanks

I’m glad you love our recipe! Emulsifying waxes can behave pretty differently from each other. I’d check with the manufacturer, it’s possible depending on the emulsifying wax you’re using, you’d need to follow different steps to get the emulsifying wax to work correctly. You could try melting the emulsifying wax on its own (best in a double boiler rather than microwave) before adding any other oil-phase ingredients and see if that works better.
