I've never seen a car demo for SQ playing rap. And it's not "cheap" music just because you grew up listening to a guy playing a guitar and singing to it.
So did these sound good and have decent mid bass and volume even without a amp? Im thinking about hooking them to a Kenwood headunit and using a small 10" under seat sub fill in the bass up to about 150hz.....you think these focals will do okay right off the headunit with no amp???
Wanna know how you sold me on these? I watched this with my phone through my car’s speakers and the set was so good that it actually sounded like I was listening to the song straight from Spotify! And you said they were running off headunit power? Yep, buying these!
I’ve never installed components. Replacing my door speakers. New Sony head unit. Can I use the existing +\- wire that currently are connected to door speakers and run that wire directly to the new focal crossover then wire new focal mid/tweeter from there? Thank you for your help
You’d can use the wire coming in to power the crossover. But run new wore from the crossover to the tweeter and the speaker. But running new wire from your amp (which is a good idea to do when you’re using good door speakers) will give you a little bit better sound. Just my opinion.
i own the K2 power level, and yes know your comment is a year ago, but Focal is not known to be bass heavy, the focus on vocals, he can tell theres mid bass but dont rely on it to be the main bass for you

@@beatcarsound8713 Are Infinity Reference speaker better than JBL GTO speakers? (on the same size, and setup) Marginally, but it is better. After all, Infinity and JBL are brands of the same group: Harman. Infinity is positioned a little bit higher in the market, but their car products overlap in a lot of ways. I own a pair of coaxial JBL GTO 529, and a pair of Infinity Reference 5002ix coaxial speakers, and the difference is not noticeable; especially inside a car, where noises come from everywhere: engine, tires, suspension, etc... Is Infinity better than Focal? It will depend on the exact speaker series. But, on the same level of speakers, Focal - in my opinion - is better. Focal is more expensive, tough. Is the difference worth it? Yes, for me, as I prefer good highs over bass. The Reference series, by Infinity, is very good. JBL is more towards bass lovers.
