I'm trying to understand the results of pushing vanishing points to different extremes in drawing and I found this somewhat helpful. Understanding compression as a result of how close vanishing points are to one another will help me when setting up vanishing points to start and plan a piece.

Thanks this really helps a lot. I am trying to get into microstock and learning this really helps, as well as the math at the beginning. It made me happy to hear that you are a landscape photographer and that you use a higher focal length because I currently only have one lens (prime, 35mm, but my camera is 2x crop factor, so 70mm). Thanks again.

Your videos have literally taught me everything I know about photography, and I have improved so much since I found your channel. @ You r absolutely right that's why I suggested alternate source of light. Ideally no matter what you do photography needs lighting.. I'm a professional photographer. If lighting isn't there camera will require higher ISO, I'm afraid no other option is there. Or you speedlight with your camera, the response I have seen is amazing if you know how to go bounce flashlight the output will be like you have not used Flashlight at all.

Thanks for the video. You might want to mention, as well, what compression can do to human facial features; so the need for checking on that re distance from your subject when using various focal length lenses for portraits so you don't distort people's faces (however subtle, or not, that distortion can be).

I have a couple of questions: I want to film in a smaller room and want to get that blur effect. We have a 50mm prime lense but I have to set the camera super far away for it to focus on me. It says it is infinite but it doesn't seem to be the way. What am I doing wrong? Would I need a higher mm or lower mm? I have seen other streamers use a 35mm with a similar size room as me. Would this be better or worse? Would I not have to put the camera further away?
