So the bonnet latch final gave up on me.....

Mine gone on Mondeo 2.0 tdci won't open.tried that any suggestions

used a ford mondeo lock that way you can lift it up with the latch inside the car with a extension

Tuning in diffferent car makes: BMW - I have installed a better air filter Mercedes - I have put in a new exhaust pipe Ford - there is a kit so I can open my bonnet ... I love some aspects of my Focus, but there are some things which are pure idiocy ...

You di#k. I'm running 330 stage two. The bonnet mechanism broke hence changing it... I'm not sure what idiocy that is or wasting your time with some idiocy comment...

I guess you got me wrong: nothing wrong with the video or you. I find the original bonnet lock idiotic - not only the concept, but the execution even more. Makes all the sense there are kits out there to change it to something useful. This was the joke at the beggining about.

Sorry. I see........ yes the lock was a crap design. So this kit is really for badgeless grilles. But also useful if you need an upgrade. Thanks

Would it be possible to get a conversion like this working on a non ST Ford Focus? I have the MK2 Sport, but not ST.

Well done in getting the bonnet open mate. Glad you showed the cons of having the vents also. Might be worth putting some sealant or something on the bolts as you may have issues when changing the spark plugs in the future if they get anymore rusty.
