Focus ST/RS mk2 225 Short Shifter Install / Unboxing ( Season 2 ) 

Yeah im still over the moon with the little mod, cant get over how long the old throw was to what it is now. much less time being on the gear stick changing up & down. As i said to someone below on my previous comments its the little mods that make all the difference =) Thank you for your comment mate and im glad to be back. =) thanks for staying with the channel, next weekend another video to be uploaded.

AJ Focus Definitely a worthwhile mod, especially for the price. I totally agree mate, it's little things 😊 No worries. I have done a few modifications to mine, even though I said I would keep it standard 🙈

Thanks mate, stay tuned more videos on there way, next weekend will be another upload. I agree best looking model in the range just stands out more being different at the front end to a standard focus and also the whole shape just shouts out. Do you have a short shifter installed?

AJ Focus I just can't stand the ass end on the mk3 etc doesn't look right. OK I am subbed anyway so I get a notification when you upload next ! And no I just have standard shifter but got a blue gator with ST stitching ! Pretty cool. Haha but may get a shifter.

Yeah not keen on the mk3 ST as you may know through my old videos lol stupid looking car with the wrong engine, again with the new RS dont get me wrong i love the new RS looks great in away but its them dam engines there using now, just not the same. Give me a mk2 RS any day. I will now say to anyone after installing this short shifter buy one it really does make a huge difference to how it drives. AJ Focus agree about the mk3 and I'm going order on now haha got same gator as you but blue but got standard gear knob. I had a sparco one on but didn't like it. But I will order one and check back to you let I know what I think ! Where about are you from and what bhp is this ? I'm pretty new to your channel like.

AJ Focus that’s fine man rather comment something constructive and support you as there not to many people doing videos on the ST225 so you have a good audience as when I was searching around your channel kept on showing up so make the most of it and love the car by the way

T -sport diaries Yusuf / Cheers mate for your comment and watching the video. 👍 your ST sounding good so far, yeah as for spending a grand I hate to think how much I've spent lol probably double that haha the wind deflectors were on the car when I got it mate, but the metal clips just push right up into the rubber seal put the wind deflector in first holding it into position then push the metal clips in over the deflector lip bit hard to explain. That's what I've done to mine as the previous owner didn't use the metal clips but kindly left them in the glove box so I just stuck them in.

If you got instagram I will upload a short clip video to show you how mine are stuck in. I've even used double sided stick tape, because I was going down the motorway one night and the passenger side decided not to stay on the car and almost flew off. Luckily my misses at the time grabbed it before it completely flew away lol so double sided tape helps too haha

AJ Focus Don’t have Instagram but thanks for the offer👍🏻 The clips that were supplied don’t fit, they are way to wide to fit in the window channels, might try and make them narrower with some pliers haha.

Yeah the metal clips have to be tight mate to hold in the deflector and grip the rubber seal, just need to push them in with a flat head screw driver can use some pliers to bend them in if that's easier for you.

Not really sure mate I think the linkage is different. Can always ask Auto specialist see if they can shine some light on it for you get the info

I think they should fit the standard focus can't see why not, I do know that the st and rs gear stick housing are completely different to a standard focus but theres still a chance it may fit.

AJ Focus thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. It's just that mine came through the post, but I see the st/rs nipple faces up, so that adapter just goes round the lever, but on my standard one, the nipple is sideways

Thats ok mate,Should still work sideways with the adjustment on the new nipple supplied in the kit you can still move it up to shorten the throw.
