I've learned that a lot of celebrities actually enjoy doing very obscure goofy voices where they barely say anything. I've even found out that a lot of very big name celebrities even while they were big do this for fun 😂
1:12 I just realized that he was telling them how glad he was to partake in switching with chowder and that he enjoyed their company in a way that they mistook it as creepy. Chowder was great in its context and characters.
The joke is that the balloon person can easily, easily die because he's a balloon. The Lucky Cat statue being what it is is what's keeping him from floating away or popping.
Some of them describe their designs. Truffles is a type of mushroom, Mung's nose is shaped like a bean, Chowder is a soup (and Gumbo is a soup made of beans, so he looks like Chowder and Mung combined), Gorgonzola is a cheese (so he's a rat), Gazpacho is also a soup and is best friends with Chowder. That's all that come to mind.
As much development he received, I feel like his continuation was a bit butchered compared to how his character was initially introduced. And would love to see how things were originally planned.
@@ShovelLettuce Actually, if you look witch paw he holds Fugu(a. k. a witch paw lifted). It indicated what kind of Fugu mood. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maneki-neko
I genuinely think Chowder made foreign language content more accessible to me, because is included characters that you can't understand and arent given subtitles. Forcing you to rely on the characters Intonation and the context of the situation to understand them.
For those unaware, Foie Gras is a Manekineko (a "lucky cat"), a statue of a beckoning cat that is displayed in nearly all Asian family homes, especially during the Lunar New Year
@@koushuu We have them here in Malaysia too. It's popular among the Chinese community and often placed in shops since it's believed they bring good luck to businesses.
i didnt watch enough chowder as a kid to see an episode with this character, but he reminds me of the cats from cat soup. which i suppose would be a fitting reference to make since its a food themed show.
Foie Gras is the adorable and nicer version of abridged Mr Popo but somehow creepier than him without saying much. Mr Fugu is like abridged Kami if he were weirder and act like a nicer version of mr Burns.
Just now clicking that they're all named after food. Also that they managed to design a character that has his teeth on show like 100% of the time and my mind just registers that as perfectly fine.
Bruh I was just wondering why there was a black screen for a while near the end before I got chills from the Death whistle. Complete with Foie Gras staring into my soul 😂
I can't tell if I'm the first person to point this out but it's a nice Easter egg that they look *exactly* like the Nekojiru cats (while I recommend Nekojiru, particularly the comics, highly, if you're not up for cute animals experiencing nihilistic bleakness with a lot of intense gross-out humor, maybe skip it)
"OK Mr Takei we have a proposition for you I would you like to be on a very popular Cartoon Network show about a kid who lives with a Master Chef and a rock dude and some weird mushroom Ferry" "Mmmmm go on" "OK you'll be a ca-" "Say no more I'm in" "But I didn't get to the bread bu-" *George Takei proceeds to incessantly meow* "I never thought he'd agree to this" "Me neither."
Chowder and flapjack have always been my favorite, adventure time regular show and Steven universe are close but still to this day chowder slaps the hardest
