Foil Assist is a partial hydrofoiling application for fast planing boats. It consists of a small, passive wing, built of solid stainless steel and mounted amidships under the boat’s hull.
Foil Assist is available both for the pleasure craft market and the professional boat market, such as pilot boats, fast patrol boats, sea rescue boats and naval interceptors.

The foil assisted center console is a great concept. How much force is on the hull at the attachment point of that foil? Must be a lot.

Love the idea, but we need more explanation. Video is faaaar too short in my opinion.

significant signs of porpoising instability there and that is in calm water. In waves it will be worse! The stability limits for this kind of system were established way back in the 1970s.

Dear Gunther, this video was made in the early stages of development, and porpoising is not an issue on the final solution, neither in calm water nor in waves. The boat sails much better in waves with Foil Assist. Much calmer, and the movements feel like slow-motion.

@@hullvanebv2550 so you reduced the lift of the foil to improve the stability. This in turn reduces the top speed. The motion improvements will be there even on a foil with zero lift so not difficult to achieve seakeeping improvements. As Roberto Stelle asks below, what do the fuel savings look like and at what speed do you start to see fuel savings?
