I don't appreciate those who overlook minor knowledge because to my understanding, every knowledge is valuable and one day it may come handy to you. I find this video extremely useful.
I cannot get over how many people took the time to watch this video then leave a nasty comment! I for one appreciate this video because I work in an office for as a manager and I want to look good AND I want to represent the company I work for well! Thank you Kippi for taking out the time to help me look more professional!
I cannot agree with you more Mike. I Googled this because it's the details of customer service that keep customers happy. Why Google, watch or comment on something you don't need. Smh. My mother always said if you don't have anything nice to say be quiet.
Believe it or not, this was that extra little boost i needed in my interview process. My manager commented on how he appreciated the thank you letter for the interview and commented on how easy it was to read. Hell i had to look it up how to properly fold a letter, i'm sure the guy has seen many awfully folded letters lol. Thank you for this video.
I remember learning this in school. Elementary school. I just turned 52 years old. My children have never been taught anything like this. Nothing about writing a business letter where names and addresses go. Nothing. Anyway, thank you. I am showing this to my 22 year old daughter.
Thanks for this comment. I'm 10 years younger than you and we didn't learn this in school, though we did at least learn how to address an envelope and we learned about postage. I need to send around 100 letters and I realized there was probably a standardized way to do it, so here I am! Also I have teenage kids and I'm going to teach this to them.
I am applying to do my A Levels (college here in the UK) and folding a letter 3 ways has never been something I have had to do. Thank you for the video, and know that you are teaching people a life long skill. I guess you, along with all the other useful tutorials I have watched, are one of my Internet moms now.
I'd always make a hash of fitting a letter in a standard envelope but you've made it look so incredibly simple. I followed your exact procedure & managed to slip it into the envelope perfectly. Thank you
Thank you for sharing, this brings back fond memories when I was working as a PA back in the day. Presentation from the letter content to the folding of the letter is very important. Yes business is business but it is also a sign of respect and politeness.
THANK YOU! Informative because of technology! A lot of young ones and young at heart have no idea how to do this and something properly mailed is often the first impression you make when sending a document or invitation!
Thank you Kippi for making this video and getting straight to the point all the while keeping it friendly. I am a new business owner and I strive for perfection. Customer service is very important to me as I value my customers.
I have never had the need to correctly fold a letter before. I have very recently found I need the correct way to do it and you did it superbly. Thank you for taking the time and sharing the tutorial and the knowledge. It's the little things that get overlooked at times, especially in this day and age. Have a great day and, again, thank you.
I am frustrated by everything this morning and wasn't actually looking exactly for this video, but it relaxed me enough to calm me down a bit. Thank you, Kippi.
You know, I never learned how to do supposedly basic things like this. That this video and others like it exists is a great face saver. Merci beaucoup.
Hi Kippi, Thank you for preparing and posting this video. Just what I needed. Simple to understand, easy to follow, and right to the point. Thank you again.
Thanks, ahahah. I'm sending a letter to a member of parliament here in Canada for a social studies assignment in my high school and I was just curious on whether or not there was a formal way to fold the letter.
@MYTRB If you were sending your resume and cover letter to a prospective employer, you would want to make the best impression, and upside down would not be the best!
You should do a youtube video on how to write a proper thank you letter. This would be super helpful since I just learned that there is a certain way to write and format one. It would be nice to have a reminder. Thank you for this video btw.
Thanks for this! I wanted to make sure I’m sending a letter the right way. Like, professionally. I know there’s certain ways that a paper needs to be formatted but as for folding, in school they just told us to fold it in thirds but that’s it. I figured there had to be a prope way to fold it and place it in the envelope. Thanks again!
thank you so much for this video, it was informative and educational. Not only did I learn how to fold a letter correctly I have also learned the reason why a letter should be folded in this manner. Thanks a million.
Thank you so much. I was looking to create a stunning animation for client contact form. Suddenly this amazing video came up and got an awesome idea. Thank you so much
I find it somewhat fascinating that each country has its own "official" way of folding letters :) I guess it all comes down to what are the typical envelope and paper sizes but still, someone had to design this envelope to be so narrow that you need to fold a typical paper twice. In the European countries I lived in, they are typically just big enough to be able to fit normal (so A4) sheet of paper when folded in half.
A very nice idea for a youtube video. It's surprising how many letters or bills one receives in the envelope upside down or back to front. The letter is a priceless comparison to an email, remember that if and when you want to make a lasting impression.
I know this kind of videos are gonna increase in number because there will be a time soon when people like me who used a writing machine or envelopes to send texts are gonna be really rare, and this knowledge dispite how useless can seem may solve a problem at least once in someone's life.
This is accurate. I've been looking for the proper way, that I was taught in the early 80's in my business writing class. There are so many other video's and online directions that are not accurate. Kippi, thank you for this post!
