Doing these albums in ASMR has given me a newfound respect for the artistry of Taylor Swift’s lyrical choices. I loved the songs the instant I heard them, of course. But, breaking them down word-by-word has given me more of an insight into how each line is crafted. The interweaving themes and motifs in Folklore are simultaneously tragic and beautiful. What a marvel of songwriting and storytelling! :)))

this is so enchanting and beautiful, not only because you have such a wonderful talent and skill but also because there’s a sense that you’re having so much fun singing these songs, and it’s so charming. like at once you’re appreciating these lyrics for the first time but also like you know these words and melodies by heart and it’s just pure joy to be able to sing them. the last great american dynasty really solidified that sense i was getting with the little giggle after “then it was bought by me” and the whispered words that make it feel like you’re sharing local drama with us. anyway i love this and i think you’re incredible. please have a wonderful rest of your week and i hope the semester goes well
