Dr. Susan Easton Black continues to share how the divinely developed temple ordinances are shared with the Lord’s people in Nauvoo, even how people sang as the temple stones were driven through town. We can rejoice with the early Saints as they build Nauvoo, and establish temple worship that endures today.

About two weeks ago, someone recommended this podcast. I cannot remember who it was but I'm grateful! I've loved listening to this one and will attempt to catch up. Thank you Susan Easten Black for sharing your knowledge and spirit. One of our daughters was able to go on a guided tour of Nauvoo with you several years ago and she was so fascinated with all you shared! Thank you!

Thank you Sister Susan for your knowledge and your testimony. I have spent 35 years studying church history on my own, since the missionaries found me and have become so worried about some historians revision of our history and Joseph Smith's character. Thank you for standing up for him. I even wrote one book and it was published with the Prophet as a main character...it's out of print now but I love him, I honor him and hope to meet him someday too. I also love Nauvoo and hope when we are ready we can serve as missionaries there. Again thank you.

Would have loved to have heard the Brigham Young / John C. Bennett response... What did she say? I thought that was such a good observation John.

Back then they did have many fireplaces. You could see how many rooms by counting the chimnies.

Much is to be appreciated from the mouths of gospel teachers and historians, and there is much to appreciate here. Senior church leaders are telling us to search and to ask the « difficult » questions in order to stretch the boundaries of our undestandings, thus reinfocing our faith? Why is it then, we gloss over, or even outright avoid commentary on so called «difficult» passages? I speak of verse 124!! For years I have asked for clarification on this verse, to no avail! But I’ve heard enough to confirm it remains a practise to this day - or at least until very recently! Why not « publish and be d……d »?
