THANK YOU for this video. The main thing that made me hold back on buying this arcade stick was that I had no idea on how to use it on PS5 and I want to use this in the in person tournaments at my city, which mostly run FGs on Playstation by default.
Hey, thanks for referring me from your other video to this one. Got it to work. Didn’t realize I needed to be clicking the blue button to select the controller after it paired. Thanks very much.
Thank you so much for this follow up, one more question. Is the 8 bitdo light up buttons show up as switch layout? I'm definitely getting one of these!
Yeah, you get the Switch layout. The selector switch position dictates which labels the buttons get so you just have to learn them. Thanks for watching!
Hi there, great video :) but i am confused can you add a link to your description which one to buy ? There are many versions on Amazon, there is wired one called for $60 Brook Wingman FGC Converter - an Arcade Joystick Converter and there is another called Brook Wingman NS Lite Converter for $40 wire/wireless, which one to buy ?
You bet! I am using the Brook Wingman FGC Converter which can be found here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0C3GWZNP4/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I also added the link to the video description. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
Do you have to update the firmware on the 8bitdo arcade stick to get it to work? I haven't been able to get mine to work on my PS5, even with this tutorial.
@@didi_55555 not really. I'm a gamer but not a gaming RU-vidr LOL, so I'm not familiar with the folks at 8BitDo. I just spent some time researching ways to get this to work and once it did I wanted to share it with folks who may have been having the same trouble I was.
@@BertTheStormtrooper so I just found out there's two different versions. I got the tournament version which will blink red. It's paired and works perfectly. Thank you so much for your graciousness and open heart to help others
