It's definitely played live. They're known to be an unbelievable live act who practice obsessively. It's very clearly all live, just great audio engineering
This 52 yr old is loving these guys. Seeing a lot of 90s influences but in a really contemporary interpretation and there ain't nothing wrong with that. Love the attitude.
Totally blown away by this. Not been the biggest Fontaines fan, although I like the tunes I hear every now n then. This is just something else… Super special and the new record is an interesting listen. Fab growth lads, keep it lit! X
Sublime performance, this band just gets better and better. The vocal harmonies work really well, more of this please. Can’t wait for Dublin on Dec 6th.
Sublime & encapsulating! What they're doing album by album is so astounding but every album is so different but so fresh & feckin' deadly so proud that my favourite band in the world our Irish too 💚🤍🧡
Wonder why he changes the lyrics before the first chorus. This mix is immense though. Vocals sound great. Would hardly believe it was the same guy who sang on dogrel
@@seymourseymour5888 That’s what I thought but apparently not. I’ve looked at other live renditions and he never sings the same lyrics as the record 🤷🏼♂️
he also does something like that with starburster, at least from what i've seen. in the verse "I want a shot in the dark, I wanna make the mark" he sings "I wanna make the mark, i want a shot in the dark"
Good luck to em - late to the party - they've a few more talents/facets than most bands and deserve the plaudits - where they go is up to them - he's a great voice too - good range and styles - lots to look at too - sixpiece n'all
I feel like this band have listening to a lot of 90s grunge for their new album. It's paid off. I'm getting massive Smashing Pumpkin vibes with this tube. It's sublime. The album is truly brilliant.
@@rlxts nah, you're wrong. Grunge is a movement from Seattle, SP are from Chicago and started as a new wave band (influenced by The Cure, Bauhaus, REM etc.) it's just that you lazy ignorant brits tend to put all American 90s rock under that label, forgetting that USA has 5 times bigger population.
Sounds like a studio recording! I love this. Refreshing to hear what soothes my ears with someone with soul instead of auto tune pop crap. Odd he thinks socialism is the cure for what ails Ireland. After Bolshevism. The actual word government means mind control in Latin; gubernare mentes, true governance comes from within. Not too many get to make it big unless they tote an agenda. The music makes me forget politics in spite of it all; the world is so much bigger than left-right heavily promoted polarities and if we are reunited, it will be through the universal language of music. Beautiful to see so many people together in the sun with a good band.
I feel alive In the city That you like And wait for the day To go dreaming Right by Uh-huh-huh-huh Seems so hard not to be free When you walk Right beside me [Chorus: Grian Chatten & Conor Deegan] In the modern world (What?) In the modern world I don't feel anything In the modern world And I don't feel bad, Charlene Kissing on the corner (Yeah?) Wait for just a minute (What?) Come away with me and Sal I promise you'll be in it I don't feel bad [Verse 2: Grian Chatten, Grian Chatten & Conor Deegan] I feel alive In the city You despise And wait for the day When you come Riding on by Uh-huh-huh-huh Seems so hard just to be If it matters You complete me Yeah [Chorus: Grian Chatten & Conor Deegan] In the modern world (What?) In the modern world I don't feel anything In the modern world I don't feel bad, Charlene Kissing on the corner (Yeah?) Wait for just a minute (What?) Come away with me and Sal I promise you'll be in it I don't feel bad In the modern world (What?) In the modern world I don't feel... no, I don't feel I don't feel bad
I always thought these guys were overrated and couldn't write songs, I gotta give props, this is really good and worthy of the best bands of the 2000s like arctic monkeys bloc party etc.
