Without doubt my favourite ff recording, Taylor Hawkins fully unleashed, you will always be a legend, a star and your mastery of the drums is just exceptional. RIP
This is my favourite rendition of this song and the song I show and will show everyone when we discuss how great Taylor was. An amazing drummer and probably a fucking fantastic person. An absolute honor to live in a time where I can say these legends exist.
So true I saw band in 2015 and they all played amazing. Dave and Taylor were smiling all evening like it wasnt a concert for 20 000 people in big arena but evening with friends.
There's something special about the way Taylor got so much spotlight in this song, and then him leading the final note at the end, he led the song, it was very special.
The Best of the “best of you” performances. Powerful, emotional, played like the last song they would ever play. Taylor’s stick twirl at 7:17 was so badass!!! Legend.
It's literally impossible to watch without getting emotional.. The whole band everyone has its own thing going on but oh my Taylor.. You were something else my friend.. My idol.. You will always live on in our hearts and souls and ears we love you.. ❤️
Foos Finest. Power, melody, lyrics, epic riffage, rhythmic time changes, and executed like it was the only song that meant anything. This live version cranks it up, and they're all into it. This is what makes the Grohlsters such a good band.
I've been a fan since the beginning, but this song cemented my love for their music. It became my anthem for a while, when I was going through some shit.
I would love to see anyone live! I’m a musician and I have played out but sadly never ever had an opportunity to actually go to a concert! So pathetic 🤦🏻♀️Love Foo Fighters love how much talent Dave possesses
@@narcolepsynonsense9346 When all of this Covid nonsense is in the rearview, you owe it to yourself. Get out there if you can for a show, even if it's in a dingy club. Some of my most memorable concerts have been in dive bar venues!
My God… if anyone ever asks “how good was Taylor”, just send them this video. He is now a legend. Up there with Peart, Copeland, and any other drummer considered elite. RIP, TH.
@@cosmopotts8889 honestly I agree with that too. Kurt was very particular. I'd like to believe he would move past whether he "likes" the music or not, just that he's grown as a musician.
Kurt as a young man would have hated it. I'm not sure how he would feel as they got older. It would depend on the personality type. Stubborn or not. Some people feel a certain way a particular time and carry that with them no matter what, some people grow out of it. Kurt didn't like Dave towards the later years of Nirvana. I have read articles and seen many videos on that.
Yes, but he has to be really really cafrefull with it and take a lot lot lot lot care for it. He must protect it maybe with more professional training he already have!
Doesn't sound that healthy to me in all honesty. It has this raspy quality it didn't use to, that sounds like he's pushing too hard. He's getting older, so he might be overcompensating to a vocal change. He'll adjust, I imagine, but pushing is never a good thing.
@@mikejenkins4924 IMHO he sounds better now than he did for awhile a few years back. He's said he quit smoking, so that will probably help. That said, he's 52 now, he's not going to sound like he did at 30 no matter what he does.
@@mikejenkins4924 Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it doesn't (though again, I don't think there's any way that could not be the case for someone who sings like he does for as long as he has), only that it seems to me like he probably is taking some steps to address the issue. In recordings from 2015/16ish he sounded REALLY rough as opposed to just moderately strained like here. He'll likely never get everything back, so stopping further damage may be the best we as fans can hope for. Dave drums with gloves now too, time catches up with all of us.
This song and this particular performance is absolutely heaven sent!! Taylor Hawkins is incredible, the band are incredible and I love the way they all congregate around Taylor and play like the legends they are. The soft guitars leading to the drum recovery then the guitars singing louder makes my hair stand on end!! Love it 🇬🇧😍
This is an amazing band with an amazing front man who’s talents are endless and I can only imagine what he’s experienced and the stories that he’s held and he’s an incredible inspiration!🎤🎼🎸
Yeah, Dave's voice was a little rough here, and yes Puddle of Mudd murdered About a Girl, however both of them can definitely still sing if the song is in the right key. Dave is holding up much better than Wes however
Taylor was an alien from another planet. Is it only me that keeps watching only him playing during the show? Rip taylor. 😢 The most charismatic fighter.
I get soooooo lost in the Foo's and especially when I watch them. What I would give to have been in this room!!! Geeeezus Taylor is such an underrated drummer ... but damn he belongs right here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I miss CONCERTS!!!!
Thank you, I wondered if that was what that part is called! If Dave Grohl isn’t shredding the fuck out of it, then I need that explained as well cause he looks to be ripping it to me🤘🏻
OMG, That was the absolute best F...ing Rock Performance I have EVER SEEN! To Dave and the rest of the band! You guys are the pinnacle! and to Dave, if you ever get to read this post, Know This! If I were to die tomorrow, thanks to You, I Have LIVED! P.S Who the F...k are the 5 Assholes whom gave this a thumbs down! Are you Kidding!
Looked at the comments after watching this and I can't help feeling like an echo. GREAT stuff all round but the stand out was how the video showed Taylor's work in this one. Thank you
When you turn one of your best songs into a straight up prog rock song just for the fuck of it....that was incredible. Howard has the best sound guys in the business, always has.
I love all the music critics in here, Taylor sped up. rock and roll is rock n roll, fuck the mistakes. Not even a Foo fighter fan and that drumming was bar none.
I’ve already commented on this but keep listening over and over. Taylor Hawkins has said that the legend, Roger Taylor of Queen was his hero growing up, this performance would surely give Roger Taylor goose bumps!! Mesmerising 😍🇬🇧
Omg this is the best thing i have heard in days. I always get this overwhelming feeling of pure happiness, when the foos are playing, but this one even more was special, i couldnt stop smiling. Thanks for still rocking, guys!
This song is the pinnacle of FF's singles. And waddaya know, they keep going up. When life hits me hard, this is my go to song. Thank you for this incredible gift to humanity. And taylor, theres none like you. Legenda begawan. Cheers from indonesia
seriously! these last couple batches of them performing the new Medicine songs in their studio & all the classic hits have been mixed incredibly well. I would buy the audio from these sessions as an album in a heartbeat
I think the older Dave gets the better Dave gets ... these guys have inspired my 39 year old ass to try harder at learning guitar and for that I'm Thankful!!! such fun awesome songs that mean something to me that I'm sure holds a completely different meaning to them as to why they wrote them but so many of their songs I relate to and connect to instantly ! THANK FOO!!!!!!
awesome version with a really epic bridge part!! all foos performing so well just as we know it from them! I especially dig the coolness of chris shiflett in this one 😄🙌🏻
