Dave the nicest rocker in rock in roll history. He isn't the best but definitely worth being up there because of the level of respect and kindness he has for everyone.
The Bass player was in Sunny Day Real Estate and the drummer played for Alanis, Foo's were always a super group with a lot of the most talented musicians. They even have Pat Smear playing for them again, who was also in Nirvana towards the end.
My first introduction to The Foo Fighters was when I heard "Walk" while watching the end credits of Thor as a child. Lol. I learned who they were and I've been following their music ever since. I love his voice and lyrics! ❤️
Greatly underrated song I can't believe I finally found a RU-vid channel that reacted to this song specially. It makes me so happy, you just gained a sub.
Pink, So glad you discovered The Fighters of The Foo. :) This is a very powerful song and yes, it helped me through a divorce. :( I have two other Foo Fighters suggestions and one of them is a double song (I'll explain) First: "My Hero" - song about ordinary people doing extraordinary things. The everyday hero's of our lives. Second: "Everlong" - This a double suggestion, there are two versions of this song, one with the full band and one with just Dave and an acoustic guitar. Both are great. This song is about how strong love can be and how it makes you want it to last "everlong"
March 24, 2000... Target Center, Minneapolis. Seat U-238 (nosebleed section) with my two best friends. Red Hot Chili Peppers were there too, and Muse. This song didn't exist yet, but of everything I remember Everlong like I heard it yesterday. My ears were still ringing from 311 and Jimmie's Chicken Shack in Kalamazoo, Michigan two days earlier... there wasn't "seating", everyone was just across the concrete rink floor from the stacks and it was so loud you almost couldn't hear the music. *sigh* I feel old now.
Thank you so much for reacting to my favorite group in the world. This song got me through a very bad time in my life, but I left and haven't let anyone take advantage of me since. I'd love to see you react to The Pretender or Hero. Again thanks for all you do💖💖
Runaway Kid, had you heard the version on Hell Freezes Over. The beginning had almost like a Spanish guitar/ mariachi type sound. Worth a listen or a look.
I had a long time friend commit suicide recently.. I've been having a hard time myself with thoughts.. but he had a tough life and I wish he was still here. Thank you for reacting to this song because when it came out it was a clue when he was feeling down because he would sing it under his breath...
Their song THE PRETENDER is amazing. Also try thirty seconds to mars their songs A BEAUTIFUL LIE, HURRICANE, KINGS AND QUEENS, CLOSER TO THE EDGE, and THE KILL are PHENOMENAL
Please check out "My Hero" by the Foo Fighters ... the song "My Hero" ... I think about my husband that I lost on 9/11. He was a firefighter, at Station 5 on Staten Island, about 2 miles away from WTC in Manhattan. They lost almost all their men on shift that day. I think about him constantly.
The Foos are a band that have to be seen live - they are epic! I know that is getting to be a cliche that Dave is "the nicest guy in rock 'n' roll" but there is a reason why cliches come about, I've met the guys a few times (and Chris again last week) and they are all really really nice guys.
I think you might have a great reaction to Meatloafs' "Paradise by the Dashboard Lights". It's a rock and roll journey into the lovers lane tale of two teenagers with a sweet twist at the end. It will make you blush...😳 but you will love it. I can guarantee it.
You should check out EVERY Foo Fighters song. "All My Life" is a good one. Read up on it first, it'll surprise you what the song is about. LOL! My Hero is another great song by them. I love that song so much, and that was the one that opened me up to the band as a serious band, and not some gimmick. The first song I remember from them was "Big Me", I think, and even though I thought the song was cute, I didn't really take it seriously, so "My Hero" and "Monkey Wrench", I believe made me look at them as a true, serious band. Taylor Hawkins was the drummer for Alanis Morissette before joining Foo Fighters, so that band has two of the best drummers in the business, in my opinion.
Most people would be happy to be in one legendary rock band but not Dave Grohl. Nirvana and Foo Fighters are his most famous bands but he has done many other musical projects and filled in on drums many times for other bands. Most notably Queens of the Stone Age. Check out the music video for No One Knows as Dave can be seems playing the drums. He played drums on the whole album. He was once called the hardest working man in rock.
I honestly feel that Dave Grohl deserves a lifetime achievement award From drummer to lead singer and multiple successful bands Not saying others don't deserve it but Dave Grohl certainly does
You should really either listen to Foo Fighers Everlong as well as The Pretender just make sure you watch the video to the Pretender - great song that's taken to a whole other level by the video. Johnny Cash's version of Hurt is also a really good video that amplifies the song behind it.
Love me some Grohl and Foo, but for METAL you must check out Dave's PROBOT project. About a dozen songs of metal with vocalists from Lemmy to King Diamond. Shake Your Blood! Peace!
I agree with one of the other commenters or many of the other commenters you should listen to gay Pretender also of the Foo Fighters. They're a tremendous rock and roll Kick-Ass badass band the drummer with them now Tyler is almost as good as the lead singer but really Dave Grohl will probably never be matched on the drums and like you said pinkmetalhead his voice is strong really strong.
Pink love ur channel an all you react to, but hope this is last time you react to foo fighters. Lol I’m not a hater to many bands but foo fighters is one of them, no different then Nickelback. Lol keep rocking my heavy metal hottie an sharing with the world all types of music , even if it is the foo fighters. LMAO
