Two things - #1 I can't help but wonder what the story is behind the cds thing, obviously an inside joke I guess, especially since it looks like he looked over at Pat and smiled when he changed the lyrics the second time. #2 Crazy the difference between this Dave Grohl as frontman and the Dave Grohl of today. The Dave Grohl of today is obviously more polished, experienced and confident, but I miss this sweet, awkward, silly young Dave so much!

dave really fucking made a classic first lp man, after nirvana, it's fuckin astonishing really. top notch tunes/performance. proper tight, extension and all that. majik you can't recapture or fake. you are or you aren't. in or out. get up or stay in bed. thoust innit

It's a gibson explorer, Dave has four Explorers, one in white, and three painted black. He played them mostly on live performances, from the period of the first album in 1994, up until the release of “One by One” in 2001.
I remember when that album came out, everybody was going "What the hell is he doing releasing a an album which sounds like Nirvana." But I was going "Way cool, bring it on." fan from the first note I heard of "this is a call" Be honest, we'd rather have Dave flying the flag for good angry rock than some manufactured money hungry idiot who had no prior history with the music they performed. Here we are 20-odd years later and true to his word, Dave is still around.
