I wasn’t a big fan of this band in the beginning. As I’ve listened to them the last year I’ve had a change of heart. Grohl is a genius, great voice, terrific front man. This has to be one of the best bands of the last 30 years! Excellent band. I’m a big fan today!
Huh didn't you listen to Nirvana he sang songs and played drums.Day one when Foo Fighters started been there I was a teen.Amazing times Dave is Top 10 Hall of Fame Rock and Roll Legend. Hands Down How many people in the world have played with Kirk and still alive.Just so you know Dave is always been amazing ❤❤❤
I knew their hit songs only and liked them too, and finally less than five years ago I decided buy their all CDs 2nd hand at once and boy wasn't that a great idea! Love their albums and sad to hear their drummer die..
I remember hating "Big Me" when I was younger. It seemed such a stupid song. Now that I am older, I turn to them whenever I am feeling stressed or down. Losing Taylor hit me super hard, for apparently no reason. They are not only great musicians, but they seem like genuinely great humans. I wish them all the love and support in Times Like These...
Havent been able to listen or watch any Foos since Taylor died. Perfect song to listen to after all this time. You are missed Taylor. Rest in Peace, dude.
As Prince who Loved Foo Fighters would say; " Real Music by Real Musicians" ! R.i.P. Taylor and I hope Foo Fighters will find a way to continue performing..
They will take a mental health check And Dave will write some more great music... He will dig deep this is what they do And Taylor would want them to rock on...
Yes I agree, let's send Dave our best good vibes, as we all know he found his soul reflected back and anyway, Australia sends it's special, in our hearts, in tune with the universe, vibes.... Love and D9 from your Uncle Rob
Even Dave gave a giggle when the band walked out. Can you imagine singing a capella in such a historic place knowing you are the front man of one of the best bands ever and not getting emotional?
1 & 3/4 years nearly now since Taylor passed...the unbridled joy he had playing in that band and the power and cleanliness of his drumming is clear to see. RIP Taylor
I'm a latecomer to this band, but I just love Dave's voice and their energy. So sad that Taylor passed. He was a phenom on drums. Hope I get the chance to see them this summer with a late ticket drop....
Have done nothing else much since Saturday's news but listen to the band, watch interviews, lament the time I never got round to seeing them live, and still not believing one of the coolest rock and roll drummers of the last thirty years, two years my junior, is dead. RIP Taylor. Never forgotten. Hang in there Dave, the Foos, and family.
you know iam now 22 but when i learned about FF I was about 10. just saw them without taylor, it feels wrong but Iam still happy too have this moment with my parents who brought me up with this kind of music
I once was blessed with the opportunity to visit Athens for three weeks. I stood at the top of this marvelous place. It is magical. I cannot imagine sitting there watching this show. To sit, watching David, Taylor and the band, where people once sat to listen to Christ's apostles speak of Christianity. Different yet both a religious experience. God Bless you Taylor. You will be missed.
Imagine the energy going between Grohl and Hawkins - how much they get from each other on the stage. With the other members as well. Professional musicians.
@@mikeeclipse - If they continue. I actually think they might call it a day. Maybe do some one-off concerts as special events but I think world tours and albums might be done. Probably one to honour Taylor's life but I don't see them touring Europe and so forth again. I had tickets to see them in Madrid in June but they have cancelled the entire 2022 tour and all upcoming concerts.
@@m.st.6657 - Yeah, they don't need the money and Dave is worth $300+ million. He doesn't have expensive tastes, like boats or even expensive clothes. He was doing it for the joy of doing it but now performing with the Foos will always be painful for him as it is just a constant reminder that his best friend isn't there and is dead. He turned down drumming for a couple of bands when Kurt died and became a frontman because he couldn't handle being behind the drums. So at this time in his life and with a 12 and 7-year-old kid he might think it isn't worth starting with a new drummer to go to Australia and Japan and so forth. I think they'll do a concert in L.A. to honour Taylor and maybe get Roger Taylor to perform. I'd already booked flights and a hotel to see them in Madrid. Liam Gallagher was supporting but it's cancelled. I was going to be amazing. I guess I'll just be going and seeing art galleries and shit.
My favorite all time Foo song. I got all kinds of emotional when the band joined in. I'm so glad I got to see them a few times over the years and every time was epic. Taylor you will be forever missed - RIP brother ...
Taylor…it’s unbelievable the darkness that hid behind that incredible smile as you relished performing… it’s times like these we are reminded that what seem like the best of lives can be crumbling under the surface…. I truly send my love to his many loved ones x
Holy shit!!!! That was an amazing job by Taylor!!! Bro really put his all into his shows and loved his craft, by the look on his face! Best video I’ve ever seen of him.
Many people love the Foos because of the energy of Taylor brought to the band. No one will be like what he did to the Foos. Gone too soon. RIP man. Thanks for bringing all those good musics over the past 20 years, especially my teenage years.
The temptation to get Taylor's unreal smile while smashing drums is very tempting. Mad love to them and anyone listening to this timeless sick jam. Be well my friends i dont know. Yet i do.
As a near sixty year old Aussie, all I can say, apart from wishing I had been there, is, Great band, great venue, BRAVO! RIP, Taylor. Will catch you at a gig in the future sometime. 🙂
I've been waiting tables for the better part of 30 years.. I dedicate this to anyone I've ever had the pleasure of serving ☺️👍 You made my better for being there 🤓
Dave being the nice guy he is has endured so much pain -- it makes me real sad. This is not to say we all don't harbor pain and fight our own demons, it just shines a big ass light on things when it happens during times like these.
this is a truly magnificent performance by one of the greatest rock drummer ever lived on this planet. I'm crying cause I never had the chance to see you play with foo fighters and this dream will never accomplished. R.I.P. Taylor
Still has that look in his face of a kid ripping it in his bedroom without a care. After the years he is still absolutely in his element. Pure rock and roll, this performance really shows their class, precision and mostly their everlong love for what they do and their fans. FF want to blow your mind not just your eardrums.
This song always touches me, no matter if its the record version, live, acoustic, live acoustic, Dave solo, or with the band backing him. Maybe this one even more so since it brings so many elements of what the Foo were, and are, and I hope they will be. It's just a great song, with a great message, by great people.
No clue as to how Dave must feel....many are with you even if we've never met...never stop rocking brother...maybe one day we will all have more answers
I sadly I have yet to have the pleasure. Didn’t get into the Foos until fairly recently during lockdown and I AM TOTALLY INSPIRED! Can’t believe I missed them all these years. I have made a promise to myself that when they come back to the UK I WILL be there 😊
You’ve got that right! I saw them at Fenway Park when Dave was in a throne with his leg in a cast and it was STILL one of the best concerts I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen tons of them!
Dios que maravilla!! El escenario es realmente espectacular y los Foo Fighter como siempre espectaculares. Siempre serán una de mis bandas favoritas. REP Taylor
The whole world of Rock and Roll Music and its fans are speeches since hearing the news about Taylor Hawkins death on Friday (March 26, 2022). Our hearts and prayers go out to the Family the Band and not least of all the Fans! Everybody pray one for another.
What a great storyteller... I love you Dave and I can't imagine the pain you and the band must feel right now with Taylor's death... It's times like these ....
