✅ Recipe:
-Inside of Zongzi-
50g/ea Soy Wax or Recycle Wax
-Reed Leaves-
50g Pure Beeswax
50g Paraffin Wax (48C/118F)
20g Soft Wax
5%-7% Essential Oil
To need Color Dye
✅ Tools:
Paper, Tinfoil, Double-sided Tape, Two 18cm * 13cm Flat Molds, Mold Sealer, Paste Machine, Two Silicone Pads, A Real Zongzi’s Leaf
✅ Tips:
1. The triangle body of zongzi can be made from recycled Wax used in daily practice.
2. The pouring temperature should not exceed 65C/149F. If you pour the liquid at 60C/140F, you don't have to use mold sealer.
3. In the case of low winter temperature, soften the leaves in hot water of 50C/122F before putting them in a press machine.
4. It’s okay to press a flat wax sheet three or four times and the reed leaf once. There’s no need to adjust the thickness of the press machine.
5. If the wax sheet is too thin, it will be attached closely to the leaf and pretty wrinkled if it’s too thick.
6. The reed leaf has prominent stem veins. Don’t let its convex surface face the wax sheet; otherwise, it will be difficult to remove it from the press machine.
