FOOD FOR THE GODS
1⁄2 cup salted butter, at room temperature
3⁄4 cup dark brown sugar
2 pieces eggs
½ cup liquid glucose
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1 cup coarsely chopped pitted prunes OR pitted dates
Note: if using unsalted butter, add 1/4 teaspoon of salt into the flour.
PAN: Grease and line two pieces 8X8 square pans
BAKING: 350 F (170C) Baking time: 25 minutes or until top exterior is almost firm.
