When you flipped the calendar it reminded me of my time in Cape May NJ. I was on a spiritual retreat during the monarch butterfly migration. There were hundreds of monarch butterflies on the beach. I started a conversation with a person that was tagging and releasing the butterflies. She let me release on off my hand as they continued their migration. It was once in a lifetime experience.

I thought about getting a traditional sofa but then where would I put my stuff! I love the color combination, I think it's looking good for Fall.

This is such an amazing blessing!! I have a decent pantry that don’t get me wrong I’m super grateful for. However, I WISH we got even some of the things you do. We don’t get much produce. Or different “ready to eat foods”.
@MysticalTerry-fr2eu Food pantries are a blessing, absolutely! My food pantry has a lot of unusual items. I think they work with some "high end" grocery stores, I'm happy for it but I do know not every pantry has these kinds of items. I definitely eat better because of the food pantry!

I was very happy to get everything from the food pantry, it's a huge blessing to get so many nice items, especially fruits and veggies. hi, sara! what a great haul from the pantry. also clever how you work your pillows for the "sofa". you make the most of what you have - truly a wise and thrifty trait. also i enjoy your switching things up for the seasons. please share the coco recipe. i will tell you that i had covid in the beginning. not sick enough to be hospitalized but lost my sense of smell and taste. i can sense sour, sweet, salty and bitter but no real taste of foods. chocolate is something i get a bit of taste with - like dark chocolate, i get the bitterness (coffee too). ah well, life goes on and i remember how things tasted. don't mean to be a downer. enjoy your week. i see the eye specialist thursday to see what he thinks about surgery. big hugs. sweet dreams.
@karenjones1897 Hi Karen! If you've heard of Dr. Daniel Amen, one of his videos stated the eyes are an extension of the brain. I wrote down one of his recommendations: eating room temperature olive oil on top of your dark leafy greens helps with vision. It might be worth looking into! I've added the Coco Recipe to our list of videos to make (hopefully it will agree with your tastebuds)! I love my sofa, it took awhile to figure out how to make a "back cushion" for it, but I finally got it! The food pantry haul is truly a blessing especially with Winter electric bills approaching. @birgittacarlson7537 Hi Birgitta! The food pantry is a big blessing to access. Especially the salad vegetables are helping me achieve my health goals. Yes, to use the food pantry, I have to apply. After one year, I have to re-apply. The food pantry determines the financial guidelines. Once qualified, it is okay to shop there once a week. The larger the family, the more food you can get. What I bring home is for one person. By the end of the week, perishable items are given to staff and volunteers to take home. If not, then the farmers get the items to feed their animals. I love the plant shelf! I'm super happy about that dumpster find! Have a lovely day in Sweden!

I feel better when I eat more vegetables, and the food pantry salads are a blessing as the cost of vegetables can add up if bought at the grocery store. The plant stand is a neat find! I like your idea to put towels on it, if my bathroom was larger, I could try that, but it's on the smaller side!

@kannab100 I've had the mini-fridge a few years now and it was a real challenge to get used to. But where there is a will, there's a way! Yes, I love your idea to add the salad cover to the ziploc bag, I hope others also find it helpful! Crockpot season has arrived. @christophervogt7456 Thank you, Chris! I think not having a sweet tooth is a good thing. I used to bring home the larger "family size" desserts and had to make a change! The mousse cake had too much sugar so I ended up removing the frosting and eating the "cake" part! Have a wonderful week!

Also I was wondering, does your dump just have days you can pick stuff out of it? Or how does that work? Just curious bc I was going to see if mine did something similar! ❤️
@MysticalTerry-fr2eu At the dump, folks set aside the nicer items, for others to get. Some will just throw it in the dumpster and it's perfectly good stuff. It depends on the family hauling away the unwanted items, if they think someone might want it then they set it aside. I got some nice stuff there like my coat rack! Whatever I find, I look it over really well and clean it up best I can. I do have a few items in my car for "quarantine" (I'm waiting for temperatures to drop below 32 to bring it inside).
@laurac5451 It can be discouraging to get items that are "turning"! Sometimes fresh food looks fine but then I find mold (like on the bread). My food pantry has an abundance of bread and I get a little but not a lot. I will freeze a loaf then eat off it for sometime. The breads that have fruits and seeds are my favorite, it tastes like a "light dessert".
