No food problems in the Florida Keys. Life is normal & great as usual.

Here in Oregon our food prices are up around 30% from last year and our gas is still over $4.50 a gallon. There are shortages but most seem to be short term or rotational. One major issue we've noticed is that expiration dates are SHORT and things are even expiring before that. Produce and dairy especially!!

Aldi has always sold Lamb, ever since they opened a few years ago here in Jacksonville, FL where we live. Last week they had Lamb Loin Chops for $9.99 lb. They sell all kinds of cuts of Lamb. Keep up the good work; love your channel.

I'm Miami the are some shortages but mostly you still can find food items. Prices have increased drastically. But I have noticed alot of items expiration dates are close to expire. So everyone should be alert ⚠️.

I’m in Palm Beach County, Florida, a suburban area. I really don’t think most people around here are paying attention. I see holes in the shelves in most stores but not terrible, but the prices are so much higher in all grocery stores! There are some farms in the area where you can get much better & less expensive fresh produce and eggs.

🇦🇺Hi from Queensland Australia. We are currently having limits on buying tissues if you can find any and limits on toilet paper. The freezer section of the supermarkets have lots of empty spaces. I’ve raw packed chicken breasts, chicken drumsticks with bone in, chicken thighs and chicken balls. I always add a little chicken stock into my raw packed chicken products. Each month I buy two books. I’ve bought chicken health, the rooted life, Ferment for good, Beyond Labels, Seed to seed, Companion planting for beginners, Growing Vegetables-Jess Sowards, Meals in a jar, 4 canning books.

I saw that someone is looking for Alfredo sauce. Azure has Alfredo sauce powder. It’s wonderful! And easy to store easy to use and taste great!

I have seen most things rise a few cents. Most of this in prepackaged foods, butter, and milk. I don’t buy a lot of prepackaged foods except condiments. I have seen shortages in junk food like cookies and potato chips. My farm eggs have gone up 50 cents a dozen. She is still 1.50 less than other farm fresh eggs. Our neighbors have been allowing me to forage for fruit. Many of our neighbors have excess produce and are selling it on the roadside for far less than the store. I am canning lots of tomato products right now, I made all our own pickles, we are eating from our garden. I’ll have apples and pie pumpkins soon. I don’t care for lamb. Cook from scratch, it saves money.

In high desert here in Oregon. We have a short growing season.In transition with my chickens. I added a rooster to the flock there has a real change with the chickens they were laying well until a broody chicken took over the coop. I have a learning curve here. I need create a space for the broody ladies.. I have added a new breed too.

Southern Illinois, potatoes are short and expensive. Noodles of all kinds are short. Carrots and onions are not always at the store.

Checked our local wholesalers for some bulk tea I wanted for the old folks and was freaked out to discover that half the pages of their products were listed as "Out Of Stock". This is unheard of! It can't happen here eh? Get it while the getting is still doable. And good luck, we'll all need it now.

NW Washington State : we haven't seen a serious anount of shortages yet. Prices are rising on some things. Animal feed is very high. 1 bale of alfalfa 35.00, 50lbs pig food 25.00, 50 lbs dairy 16 24.00, 40lbs chicken feed 18.00.

We do have a few community gardens in our area unfortunately they are filled every year. You have to go on a wait list to get in. The majority of the churches in our area has a lot of grassy areas. Be thinking about approaching some about putting community gardens on their property

Yes, here in South Central Minnesota, we have seen our dog food and our livestock feed nearly double in price. Enough where we had to switch Dogwood brands completely and are supplementing our his feed with our extra meat scraps etc when we are cooking

Central Kentucky homesteader for the last 49 years here not many shortages but prices have doubled and tripled from last year. We breed our replacement layers and meat birds and in November we will be butchering 225 birds up 100 from last year this doesn’t include our 18-24 month old layers that are being processed also at that time we will be butchering 300-500 birds. I don’t like raw pack . chicken or meat of any type it has a dogfood smell about it. I don’t pluck I always skin . I decide how many whole birds I want frozen, same for legs, breasts deboned and wings. We will partially cook the meat it will be divided into white and dark meat plain unseasoned, seasoned, cubed, strips , breast medallions all deboned we put all backs, bones, necks, feet , extra wings, legs and thighs into bone broth and pressure canned also. I also render all chicken fat (schmaltz) We sell eggs, specific breed hatching eggs, specific breed chicks, pairs, trios and live meat birds which is lucrative heritage income. Hot pack for me. I pressure canned 180 jars of roasted pork tenderloin and cubed bbq pork for pulled pork and cubed seasoned pork for egg rolls and other Asian dishes. Good easy nutritious meals for busy days and full larders also picking grapes and figs while working up all garden produce and fruits as they are ripening. We’ve been making cold processed soaps by the 5 gallon bucket at a time to keep up with purchases and to have plenty for the fall honey and sorghum festivals. Always happy to be busy harvesting and preserving all of GODs wonderful blessings upon our land.

Here in south Texas we haven’t noticed any shortages so far. Prices are way up though.

I love doing the raw pack chicken. I cut it in chunks, add boiling water and can. Easy and delicious!

I am feeding a lot of kitchen and garden waste to my chickens and meat rabbits. I also grow some things like BOSS and amaranth just for them. Drying excess for the winter. Pea plants, bean plants, carrot tops, beet greens, etc. I will also save corn stalks and sunflower stalks for winter. I only have a breeding trio of rabbits and am raising chicks right now. (Will only keep 9 layers) We only live on a 9,000 sf lot, but the entire backyard is greenhouse, garden and chicken/rabbit run.

I don't can the whole chicken, but when I can chicken breasts, I stuff half a breast in each pint jar. I don't bother to cube it at all. Some people actually can the legs and thighs with the bone. We like our legs and thighs fried, baked, or grilled.

They lie to us like we can’t figure it out by ourselves. I live in central indiana and eveirytime I shop, prices are up on nearly everything. When I use something, I replace it with two. The problem is, sometimes what I want is not there for a couple months. So now if I see something on sale, I buy At least one or two, no matter if I need it right then.

Lamb.. yummy! We have a local lady that we got lamb from.. she charged $6 a pound for chops. We are stocking things that we feel we will need for us and our family. I had to buy tomatoes from a local because between the heat/rain.. it's been a problem this yr. Peppers & eggplant are growing like crazy. Tomatoes are kindof.. I think we got drift from our local farmer.

I am fermenting grain currently, however, this year I came across trombochino and you can feed that to your livestock and of course yourself. I'm going to try this next year. I don't have 200 chickens but I'll probably be close to that for about 2 months when the meat birds come lol

Just re watched the first half of the live I missed. I have only ever raw packed chicken breast. ABSOLUTELY love it. It comes out SO juicy I plan to do much more of it. So far we have 33 quarts and 25 pints of it. I've been busy. Spending the weekend canning before we start our new homeschooling year Monday. Question for you- you made a video about Azure before and wanting to purchase wheat bran, sorghum and whole barley I believe to make chicken feed. I was able to buy all three of those from Azure. How would you prepare that for food for chicken feed - as far as ratio, soaking or not soaking?

I raw pack. I also roast whole chickens, debone and put meat in broth. Both work for different things. I then make stock with the roasted birds. I do all at same time. I roast the chickens will I raw pack and pressure can. Then when other is done, I process those and then slow cook my bones and broth together with veggies.

I raw pack chicken and it is so good! I also raw pack chuck roast (any type of roast, actually) and pork butt. I have also hot packed pork butt. Both are good. I have canned meat balls (Sutton's Daze has a great video), meat sauce, beef stew and chili. I want to can some chicken vegetable soup. Every time I think I have enough, I find a sale on meat and feel the need to can even more!

We are paying a higher amount for 5 pd potatoes in the past 2 months than what we were paying for 10 pds just a few months ago. And they seem to be seconds. Not even No. 1 s. Southcenteal Missouri

I'm in Nova Scotia Canada ,and Lamb is my favorite 😍. I buy my lamb from a Halal food market. I'm in the city so can't raise sheep 🐑 lol.

I have raw packed my chicken and its wonderful. I do cut the chicken up into abut 1 inch pieces. I would be concerned about putting large chucks of meat processing in the Presto digital canner which I have.

What can you do if we can't get the food to feed the chickens what is the alternative

We raise our own chicken and rabbit for meat and process it ourselves, self taught from books, RU-vid, etc. We have also processed goats for meat. That is where you save money by doing everything yourself. Don't care for the taste of lamb. We do a lot of canning, freezing of food.
