Penn and Teller Fool Us // DK 2018 FISM Close up Micro 2and 2018 FISM Most originality Award close up 2015 FISM Most originality Award close up capt888@naver.com Instagram : kroungdoc
I wish they had a second kind of trophy for the wow factor or just great showmanship. There have been acts that fooled them that I just didn't care for. This was just full of wonder.
I suggested one up above. The Blew Us... BU Award... Blew Us away award. They get both since they didn't expect to get blown that hard. So they get BUFU. Both awards... Like a golden Shower I mean buzzer but less messy.
Yeah, despite the name of the show, the main draw of the it isn't to watch Penn and teller get fooled, it's to watch and appreciate the acts, and to listen to what P&T have to say about them.
The beauty and mystery of your act is a perfect example of what magic should be like. Your performance never had me asking "how did he do it?" but, rather, it had me in a state of mind that was beyond asking questions. I had been transported to a place that was all about surrendering completely to an experience of beauty. I do not care how you did it, nor do I want to know how you did it. I am simply thankful for being able to experience it. Thank you for bringing it to us. You are not only a man of immense talent but of immense heart and soul as well. I look forward to seeing more from you in the future. You have gained another great admirer!
I think that is the real purpose of Fool Us. While fooling Penn and Teller is the prime objective, another thing this show does is give a platform for lesser-known magicians to show off their craft.
I really love how Penn makes a point to avoid pointing out failures to fool them, or to point out how they spotted the weakness in the performer's show. Instead, they focused on everything good and wonderful about the show.
I don't think that "weakness" is the right word. They are experts in the basic engineering of an illusion. It doesn't take weakness for them to understand, any more than it is "weak" for a marksman to hit a bullseye that another marksman can also hit.
Honestly some Magicians come to Penn and Teller to showcase their Magic to an audience...not everyone is 100% trying hard to fool them...i mean if Penn and Teller are your idols then performing your favorite trick for them is just as special if not more...then creating a trick just to get them fooled, to me its more of a game when people do that. What he did was a performance.
I've seen performances fool them. But this one was better than most of them in my opinion. It wasn't about how it's done It was about how beautiful it was done!
I’ve seen this twice now. With the screen I always come up with some ways in which it could be done...but that hole in the table gets me EVERY TIME! I have no idea how he does that and I kind of don’t want to know. Simply beautiful.
I was shocked when he pulled that off. That said, it must just br a gaffed table that has a hole in it, no? My favorite moment is when he picks up the powder and throws it "onto" the invisible ball. I know how it works, but the story takes me away from the method into pure wonder. Fantastic performance.
Ill say it again, i love the fact they give these performers a copy of their performance for them to use however they like. It serves as a very high production value intro to the artist for people just discovering them on youtube or seeing it wherever they upload it. Its exposed me to quite a few good artists that i never otherwise would have followed. I think its pretty safe to assume a lot of other people have experienced this as well. Kudos to P&T for always contributing to the growth, awareness and longevity of their craft.
3:45 is what every magician should inspire to receive. A child that still has their mind free to the world. Where you present to them what is magical. Today we are trapped in pace where it's "go go go". This is beautiful. Your humbleness and humility gain the respect from millions who saw you on Penn and Teller. This is an amazing performance.
thats a real hole.. as soon as he egg/ball got in he went to check the glass durinh which his right habd reach below/behind the cover to pick the gimmick hole.
This is up there with Shin Lim’s first performance on the show in terms of just visual artistry and telling a really beautiful story through effect without being precious or saccharine. Congratulations, DK. Really, really gorgeously done!
I have watched a LOT of penn and teller fool us, and this is one of the only acts that left me feeling an actual sense of wonder. So many times during the performance I had no idea what the next move was going to be. Like when he crumpled the shadow cup I gasped.
"So boss, should we use the unobtrusive translator or go balls out awkward for no reason?" "You're a professional Carol, just get it done." "Hey guys, green light! Green light!"
I didn't read the description and was watching it thinking this really should be in FISM, and I'm not surprised that it is indeed a FISM winning act. What a beautiful act.
I've seen so many acts on this show. Without question, this was the most beautiful and amazing thing I have ever witnessed 💚.. really wonderful job! I never subscribe to any of the performers but I am this time. I need to see more!
I didn't think I would ever like a magic show until I saw this. This is my first love. You did it dramatically. It's just so damn beautiful that I stop caring that it's a trick. High level skills! I'm looking forward to see your next show. Stay humble and I'll keep my eyes on you, watch you get big. You did good job!👏
@@darioinfini shin lim isn't the one who started doing these things, he's not even the inspiration for this act. magicians in asia have been more or less dominating the international professional magic scene for like 3 decades and shin lim likely got his inspiration from magicians in taiwan and korea. koreans especially have been killing it. that famous video of his that went viral was a good act for an up and coming magician, and it was the first time many people on youtube were introduced to magic but those were all very basic tricks.
honestly there were more "how did he do that" moments in this than most of the other routines I've watched. This is prob the most underrated and one of my favorites.
DK....this magician's skills and abilities is on another level. He does everything so smoothly and without let us knowing that everything he is doing just a trick. It looks SO AMAZING AND UNNATURAL...!!!! AND our host Allison is so full of grace....fool us show would be feel SO EMPTY without her. Big fan of Penn & Teller BUT MORE BIGGER fan of our cute and adorable ALLISON...☺️😊☺️
Probably the best performance I’ve ever seen on Fool Us he deserves to perform in their Live show whether he fooled them or not they would benefit from it more than he would he did an amazing job!!
Devotion to an art form can very well be akin to love. The devotion, skill and beauty expressed in this routine is as pure an expression of love as I have seen in any magic act. Thank you, DK.
i love that even when the boys know how something is done, they can still truly appreciate the techniques and skill of the person performing. this was done amazingly well!
When I saw Teller's rendition of shadow illusions, I had a feeling that he would notice some moves in your performance. But, like you said, your intention wasn't to fool but to perform. Which you did beautifully. Wonderful act.
Absolutely gorgeous routine! It starts out so simple, but then the gradual build up of the composition made me emotional to see it, and it was truly a standout performance from the episode. I hope you are able to continue performing in Las Vegas, because I truly believe you have a lot to offer to American audiences.
We need another trophy win condition for acts like this that require insane skill and technique and are pieces of art and deserve to perform in Vegas...like the golden button Idol ...
I've been binging clips of this show recently and just the fact that someone came onto this show with no intention of actually competing, but just putting on a show for people who inspired him (and such an incredible one, at that) nearly makes me tear up
The bit where the cup vanished from the glass. Oh man. I turned the video back, watched it again with my mouth hanging open, and said "JESUS!!" I don't know what you did, but that moment just looks somehow different from any other vanish I've ever seen before. This is an incredibly pretty, charming act. Love it. One of my favorites.
Just awesome in every way . Thank you DK for this few minutes of magic. So beautifully performed that I don't even want to try to figure it out. Like a work of art that you don't care about the painters techniques you just know it touches you deeply in some way.
A real magician great performance great story and thank you for being humble and not pretending like you have real magic or just outsmarted everyone I hate when magicians give you that face like I outsmarted you because I am real magic I hate this but this guy did it correct everything
I love the fact that magicians like DK knew that they wouldn't fool P&T, but still wanted to show their amazing skills & ideas. The only sad thing about this is that so many wonderful magicians (again like DK), whose tricks did not fool them, would not be awarded an opening act with the P&T Show in Vegas.
I don't understand why this is considered impressive or entertaining. Just my opinion. I am glad that many, many other people enjoy it and are enthralled by it. I also think it's great that we still have "magic" in the world.
I've seen your act from someone's "Reaction Video" but I seriously needed to search, find and comment this original video. What a fine, beautiful routine!! Thanks DK
This is the true craft of magic. It doesn't matter "how" he accomplished each effect, in fact.. who cares ? To sit and try to impress other viewers with an off-hand speculation or solution, just serves to cheapen this beautiful performance.
Totally original. I loved it+loved just how much Penn +Teller loved the art of the routine. Their love of the art of presentation is as big a draw +as big a reason why this show works as anything.
