Trinidad, Cayman and most Caribbean Island as well as 70% of the world's is shut down or under major curfew. What lessons we have learnt is that most Jamaican live - by day to day and the hustling lifestyle to survive. And this shut down definitely affects more than half the population in a negative way. This I blame on high illiteracy and the kind political leaders we have had from Norman Manley and Bustamante until the politicians now who use to just give too much hand outs and not push education so people would be more selsufficient to have better savings. Also remember the lock downs is supported by the PNP as the measures to curve the pandemic especially since most Jamaicans are reluctant to take the vaccine which can't be forced on anyone. And Jamaica being apart of the global economy it cannot stand alone to just open up. Plus crime, robberies and killings was always out of control in Jamaica, even before the pandemic the only difference is this one was caught directly on video camera.
