People don't realize respect or appreciate the life they live here in the United States or the UK the average working family live like kings compared to other countries In the world and I see and hear people constantly complaining about little shit and once you see real poverty it opens your eyes to how lucky we are to have been born in a good country it also makes me want to beat the crap out of people who complain about stupid shit like finding pickles in their burger or getting mad about not getting what they wanted as a gift and if you ain't happy and content with your life after witnessing such things you will never be happy

I have stood on pharmacy road in 2010 and was nearly shot there, I found this is hard to watch. Ben's work is fantastic I'd love to follow in his foot steps and pursue a similar career, these stories need telling, but unfortunately fall on deaf ears the majority of the time. Would love to discuss the Afghan war with Ben.

He’s, by far, the best reporter of that region. He develops relationships with locals and the troops that are deeper than the typical fake stuff I see from most reporters reporting in foreign countries. He also handles being under fire amazingly well compared to others who are hiding from a gunshot from 1 km away

You're absolutely right. The only other person I've ever found that came close was Michael Ware's work surrounding Al-Zarqawi and the Iraqi invasion in 2003. Check out "Only The Dead" if you ever get a chance! Maybe not as hard-hitting as Ben's stuff, but it's still great.

english1midlands supposedly there is evidence to support your claim and after doing some of my own research I read that the CIA trained a large number of current Islamic state fighters thinking they were part of the free Syrian army and would help overthrow Assad which at the time was Obama's priority. of the 100 million dollars in weapons sent to Syria a large number have now fallen into the hands of IS. these types of "mistakes" should never have happened especially if we are to believe the people who made them were experts in their fields. Obama's excuses let him take legal cover but that doesn't change the fact the US strongly contributed to IS rise.

***** actually it's worse than islamic law.They follow a code called pashtunwali, apparently they are descendants from israelites so i have heard. Anyways pashtunali is very strict law. Look it up. And i wouldn't say the people want to follow it because it's mainly a minority of pashtun tribe that follow it, most of afghanistan is made of persians, some turks and mongols.

That interviewer died in 2013 aged 33. His name is Michael Hastings, he had a manic episode and crashed his car into a tree @100mph in Los Angeles. There was a lot of controversy surrounding his death but it turned out to be a tragic accident.

It's the same as in Iraq. Our military hires local men to translate but because of the strong possibility of enemy reprisals very few volunteer for that position leaving us (our military) desperate to hire anyone which usually leads to someone unqualified & most importantly, one who doesn't believe. It's like most people here doing mundane work, they just want to get it over with & get paid. If you've got someone over their shoulder pressuring them they'll most likely quit. War is hell. We'd probably be better off just air dropping ecstasy tablets & some modern form of portable stereos downloaded with edm (electronic dance music) over those villages.

Surely if he's following troops for months at a time, there is also months of "boring" footage to go alongside this "over exaggerated" footage; but he's not going to showcase hours worth of soldiers sat fighting off boredom, is he? He's going to showcase, and write journalism about the more drastic, tragic moments - because at the end of the day, that's what people are expecting, and somewhat sadly - wanting, to read and watch.

everything in these documentaries and the news is sooooo over exaggerated. I am not saying its made up but they make it seem like they see action all the time and its just not true. I know when I was there we fought off boredom far more than the taliban. Sorry to say it but that shit is not even that bad. This video isn't dedicated to the soldiers --__-- I never said anything about the advertising respecting them don't put words in my mouth or you'll end up talking to yourself. I think advertising on a video about the war will be viewed by a lot of gamers and this guy is rather smart.

My god, nobody is talking about the war here. We're talking about someone advertising for game footage on the internet. Who cares if its a game where people kill each other for fun? Its not very different than say playing paintball. I'm not putting down my freedoms for some assholes who bomb people because their god says so. We have soldiers doing their job, we respect them, but we as a people don't want to stare at conflict, we enjoy the freedoms they are fighting for the best thing we could do

Aside from your compelling argument. (also America is part of NATO) You said that I don't understand my own language, when it's me that is spelling correctly and you who isn't. A quick look at your channel feed shows that all you do is write hateful comments on videos, probably expecting a retaliation. Actually, thats not true. The native name for Armenia is Hayastan. Armenians are orthodox. Not Muslim. Tartarstan, is only half Muslim. Stan, is an Iranic term that means land of. Afghanistan means Land of the Afghans, Uzbekistan = Land of the Uzbeks. With the exception of Pakistan, whos racist name means Land of the Pure. Its purely a coincidence that all these nations are Muslim. -Stan is just a common Iranic suffix.

im not advocating the killing of civilians or saying that condolence payments make up for the loss of a family member, just that that is the best the coalition forces do, it may not make up for the loss of the loved one but its better than no remorse or regret shown. Also, how can your judgement be considered reliable when you are to ignorant to even know what country this took place in...

What other choice does either side have. The taliban don't have the numbers to take on U.S, Canadian, British and French forces all at once. They'll get their asses handed to them. So they go w IEDs. And when our jeeps, convoys Etc are getting blown to pieces, what else can you do other than try to use drones to inflict damage. All that aside, the biggest problem is that we can't tell Civ.s from hostile troops. How the hell do you fight that?

1) The president could get elected if he did not believe in god. It's not a matter of can or can't, it's a matter of will or won't. I do believe when people say that the majority of the US believe in god, but from my experience they don't believe in a specific god. 2) We can't really say, but I would think it's because they want to make the US more responsible than other countries when it comes to reproduction. Both you and the guy you are arguing with have invalid opinions.

Truthfully i think were all bad from the day were born, i mean look at how we enter into this world, thru blood and tribulation, i mean our first act in this world is a violent one. We can never truthfully tell what is good for us, because we dont know what good is. The good that we claim we are is just made up, just a figment of our imagination. We just continue to make it up as we go along, throwing more and more deceit on top of it until its just the natural way of things.

or let's talk about an other topic, would you be happy with 8000£ when your wife and three kids "accidently" get killed. I don't say that i don't welcome the international help, but when for the soldiers enemy and civilian looks just alike, there is a huge problem they can't be solve. You know sir, maybe i'm not as intelligent as you are, but I still got humanity in me, and i know black, brown, yellow people are just humans as any body else, the hole world starts to forget that
