In hindsight, I do think pure numbers is easier than percentages on the whole. JSM had a blinder with some of his guesses! As long as each person is asked about players with similar numbers as one outlier can kill the episode, i.e asking one player about Maldini with 900 and the other person only ever gets asked for players with about 75-100 appearances/goals could completely skew the whole contest.
Dont have a strong preference for percentage or amount, but I think it would be cool to do a position vs position competition. Luke and the guest agree on a formation and each position functions as a round to win or lose, first to 6 wins the episode.
I think going by pure numbers is a better system because in a previous episode I remember somebody was off by like 3 or something, but because the number of appearances was so low it ended up still being like 30% so that skews alot of the scores
Percentages would be better if they’re calculated correctly, but if not then numbers is the way to go For percentages do it so the exact guess is 0% and then both below and above start counting up from there So say there was two players who both had 100 appearances One player guesses 78, they are 22% away Then the other guesses 122, they are also 22% away I’m not sure if that’s the way it had been intended but that wasn’t how it had been done in other videos
Why don’t you do numbers are percentages, basically get the numbers of the total and do a percentage from the total. It will be a lot more accurate, one wrong percentage otherwise could kill you off, which is a bit nonsense, an excel document would make this very very easy
