Covid 19 makes everything for the worst and better, changing everything. CAA will be better. Once sourth, dakota State, North Dakota State, Montana, Montana state, and other teams leave their confidence for FbS. One of the teams in the CAA will win the national championship this year or next year

guess we could have gone to ODAC, played Randolph Macon, Hampden Sydney, several other state smaller institutions. when Cooper floated this move, he was shown the exit door, certainly things are different now but still a move down .

Cowardly move to a lowly conference. The egghead president made this decision behind the backs of its community and fan base.

CAA football is diminished athletically (JMU, Delaware departure) so Richmond wisely headed for a high-academic football exit. Richmond doesn’t mind closer association with Georgetown, Colgate, etc. Good chance Villanova makes the same calculation. Patriot League has a couple of solid football programs (Holy Cross comes immediately to mind).

Concern with good players even more so, leaving for stronger leagues after this. Does league change automatically open transfer options in the portal though it is closed?
