Awesome review, even though i don't use triggers these look close to perfect. Only thing that scares me a bit is the bending of the metal, wouldn't the metal go weak at some point and lose flexibility? Don't think it will break soon, but i'd rather have a different system of installing the trigger on the pedal. It does however seem like the sturdiest and easiest system available, nice.

Before I got these triggers, that was exactly my concern, too. But after 3+ years now, I'm pretty sure that those metal plates won't break in a long long time (if ever). Some friends of mine who play hundreds of live shows per year (and therefore have to bend that plate all the time) never had issues with that, so it seems to be extremely sturdy. Not sure what kind of metal this is, or if footblaster did some testings here on the amount of "bends" each trigger can withstand before something happens.... Would actually be interesting to know. But I also couldn't find any reports from other drummers saying that their triggers broke that way or so...

@@Lykanthrop Awesome! Thanks for the info, if I ever make the jump to triggers, these would be on top of my list!

Hi dude, I have some questions: First which cable should I use with these trigger? And how you set up? Do you use a mixer o dt module? thanks in advance

Interesting question that I've actually never thought about. I personally use the cheapest of the cheap cables I had laying around (those garbage cables that come with a guitar that you buy brand new) and never had issues with them. But I never actually did any testings on if it actually does make a difference in like a worst case scenario - which would be for example a live situation with tons of interference that mess up the trigger signal. My guess would be that it doesn't make a difference though. It's a simple midi signal going through the cable, not traveling that far and therefore should be hard to impossible to mess up. For setup: check out my drum tour video I recently uploaded. I explain there what kind of signal path I have. I go from the triggers straight into my alesis dm5. The output audio signal goes from the alesis into my in ear mixer where I also have a snare mic and a room mic. So that's what I have on my ears when I practice (+mp3 aux channel, metronome, etc) From the alesis I have also a midi cable that goes into my recording interface, so that I can record the actual midi track when I record songs. That makes it easier to change the kick sound later on in the mixing process, or to delete false triggers in case it happened by any chance, or because of using other trigger systems.

I just got a pair and have remounted them on my older axis pedals a couple of different times but was concerned with how the foam was being pressed down at an angle if it was pointing up to the pedal board so you really only have one way to set it because the foot board is so high and isnt adjustable without riser plates. Either way this has caused me a big head ache with the right kick pedal because it's misfiring a lot and I have spent hours dialing in settiings on my Tm2 but no change, im worried its my foot board the hinge is loose 😢. Tldr i think i need new pedals because of all these issues.
