Metallica - Creeping Death (black metal version) 

Unreal! We need a “Blackest Album” with a bunch of black metal Metallica covers.

The vocals came in and I instantly thought CARCASS! This version is awesome!

The black metal aspects you spoiled in feel very coherent, the song is still there, but it's also something different. If you didn't know the original, you might think it's been written this way. Great interpretation!

If Metallica had a drummer it would sound like that.

This honestly sounds like something from Dissections Storm of Lights Bane album, which makes total sense.

This is from an alternate universe where Lars' parents didn't leave Denmark, so he actually learned to play the drums. And Dave Mustaine was kicked out of the band for killing Euronymous.

I like it that you don’t do too many changes to the arrangement. Usually they will just take some signature song from the genre being covered “into” and many a totally different song with all too different chord progressions and suchlike. You really added “Black” without letting the (creeping) “Death” go.

As a BIG Metallica Fan and a fan of True Norwegian Black Metal, I love this!

I would listen a full Metallica album if it were recorded this way.

The blasts in the bridge and outro truly make this.

It's Dissection! I was sitting and thinking about Dissection, remembering the time my Dad said it sounded like Metallica. I thought, 'I know someone out there has done a black metal version of one of their songs,' and lo and behold, it's the guy who does Dissection covers on RU-vid. Sounds great, man.

Ironically, I met Lars at a Satyricon show near San Francisco in 2018. He actually likes black metal.

The original version of this song has been one of my absolute favorites for more than thirty years. That makes it pretty difficult to make a cover I would not call a total screw up. Well, you nailed it. This is so cool, I love it! Next: Sacrifice by Venom. I've always wondered what it would be like with decent sound and production. Just in case you run out of ideas 😉

Als alter Sack habe ich die Veröffentlichung von „Ride the Lightning“ noch live mitbekommen. „Creeping Death“ ist einer meiner ewigen Lieblingssongs und steht auch als 12“ Single im Plattenregal. This is amazing rework, it has enough if new and original mixed together to be still same and very different at the same time, this is generally one of the best examples how you should do covers!!! Respect the original and expand and show different dimension of original so it sounds new at the same time!

This is inspired! I wish more bands out there would take this approach to playing cover songs and put the effort in to make songs their own as opposed to just playing it straight through and being boring about it. (Looking at most every one of the people out there who have covered either "Ace of Spades" or "Circle of the Tyrants", here.) Good job on all instruments and your vocals were excellent as well, sir!
