@@stevecooper7883 couldn’t agree more 3 cylinders are too underpowered and too out of balance if ur going to put a turbo anything in make it a four banger bare minimum 😂
I work at a dealership and I drive these Envistas every day and not only do they come even CHEAPER, but they are really pleasant cars. We have some brand new ones for $24k and it's nearly unbeatable for a new car
You’d be surprised how capable smaller engines can be - kei cars in Japan only have 660 cc engines, but you can still get them up to speed on the expressway. They are very nice for quick errands around town.
@@jonathan_420 my crown Vic bullies most cars on the road ( either people that mildly want the biscuit have a nice car but drive slow or just normal folk) my top end acceleration is decent so I can pull ahead of most non sports cars.
@@stufooyea but most 50 000 dollar cars and trucks suck these days unless your buying a Honda or Toyota they are poorly made Fords, dodge, gmc all have major issues well before it hits 200 000
I was sold until I heard 137hp turbo 3. Still a great deal but I’m not sure that it qualifies as a vehicle with that low of power. Just a fancy golf cart.
I like that the real headlights are where the fog lights would typically be, because I think some manufacturers are becoming aware that higher positioned headlights can blind people in lower vehicles
@@hori1371Not really. The height of headlights off the ground isn’t really the primary cause of blinding lights at night. Most of the time it’s either improperly aimed headlights or people who install led bulbs into reflector housings. When you have headlights that are closer to the ground you have to angle them to aim higher up so that the light can project onto the road in front of you. With a vehicle that’s higher up, you can aim the lights down towards the road and still have enough travel to illuminate the path in front. The reason people have this misconception that it’s lifted vehicles that blind you is because a lot of morons with lifted vehicles will install illegal leds in trucks that originally housed halogens. I have noticed that Jeep wranglers tend to be pretty blinding even from the factory but that doesn’t seem to be a result of height as much as it is lazy engineering.
@@picomanbungace4035 what you said is also true but in my case I drive a Honda Civic and the other night this guy in a raptor behind me at a red light completely blinded me and his raptor was completely stock so yeah it also due to taller vehicles
Why it’s a hideous and terrible car that he doesn’t like and wouldn’t review if he wasn’t paid for it, making it merely an advertisement in disguise, also he gets important statistics wrong, it has to be his worst video ever

@@hertzwarthog6264nothing wrong with old/cheap cars, people are into different things. I’m not a massive fan of modern cars, I prefer cars from the 80/90s
I have a 3 cyl 1.0L T and it’s 150bhp and 240nm 1,090kg never been late with services repaired all belts n turbo 0-60mph/0-100kmh was 7.2 seconds last around 2 years before problems and they’re a headache for repairing engines for cheap as it’s a brand new car with a small specific engine, uphills for 3 cyls are difficult and engine ain’t built to last with them internals that weight of the car the engine size and small turbo pushing big car bro whole car is a nightmare for 30k ??? Here in uk that’s a decent mileage m3 comp 2017
I honestly can’t agree more. Had a coworker with a Mitsubishi 3 cylinder and he would always tell me how good it does on gas and two years after he bought it the engine blew lol can’t go wrong with my Honda 4 banger tho when my cars engine is done I might do a k20 swap which is one of the best NA 4 cylinders ever made.
EDIT: THIS CAR GETS 25MPG YET HE SAID 34MPG 🧢 137HP / 25MPG and it’s 3800kg 😮 In what world is that acceptable, that is complete compromise with no benefits, I can only imagine how bad this car truly is, and how unsafe it would be to crash cause those are where the $ is saved
@@green29373 you missed the point don’t come in my replies with useless information that I already knew I’m saying what I said cause like remember there’s overtaking or merging onto the highway this is more of a city car instead of a highway car cause how slow it is … 137 horsepower is BAD
It’s nice - because it is. Good gas mileage, which is great too. MOAR power and I won’t consider until it’s a v17 with sequential super turbo charger chargers. You’re the problem. Buy a normal economical vehicle. Do you need power to tow or do farm work or construction?
137 is nowhere near enough, you have no idea what you're talking about. My gf bought a Toyota yaris thinking it's a cute little economy car, which comes with about 110 hp. It can't even accelerate fast enough to merge onto a freeway, everyone is honking at her from the back while she has pedal to the metal going nowhere. We drive up north on the i5 from LA all the time and the car cant make it up the hill at the grapevine near where pyramid lake and Frazier park is going towards bakersfield, and it's not even that steep of a hill. Pedal to the metal on the uphill, with the needle bouncing off the rev limiter, the fastest that car can do is 40, on a freeway where everyone else is flying past you going 75 on the same uphill. And it's not just her car that has that same problem. One of my friends bought a kia niro with 139 hp, and even tho his car goes a little faster than the yaris, he can't get over 45 mph on the same hill. I'm not saying every car needs 500 bhp, but anything below 150-175 hp shouldn't be freeway legal in america
@@hustla818my 2018 civic sport makes 180 HP and it has no problem cruising at freeway speeds. It's not super quick by no means, but it ain't slow either. No problem climbing hills.
@@hustla818me when I’m in a lying competition and my opponent is a youtube commenter: ive been around toyota yaris for a good chunk of my life, and they get to 75mph perfectly. if you girlfriend cant drive just say that. they get to 100mph on a good day when the freeway is empty
Lmao 130 is plenty. Americans have this weird obsessiom with horsepower when really anything over 150hp is far more than you would ever need. Are you a nascar driver? Do you go to the track everyday? Do you haul large equipment or trailers? If you answered no to those questions you don't need anything more than 150hp.
@@thatparkerkid368 Anything under 150 is way less than anything ill ever need. You dont have to be or do any of those things to want more power there just incase you decide one day you want to take it to a track or something like that. I probably dont need a billion dollars but it’ll damn sure be nice to have it.
I worked as a salesman for a about 6 months. The biggest complaint I had, other than price, was not having a spare tire and instead having an inflation kit. I'm glad to see manufactures finally bringing the spare tire back.

@@noahpickerill3749Lol everyone clutching their pearls when you start talking about fewer cylinders. Cars are literally the only invention where designing it to be heavier, less efficient, and more expensive are somehow seen as innovations. 3 cylinder cars are the future of efficiency.
@@DragonScales308 I’d rather them not include all the bells and whistles, which are cheap anyway… and invest the money where they t should be… engine/trans
@@MrJord1994how is this any different than turbocharging a 4 cylinder? Its literally just one less cylinder. The number of cylinders doesn't determine reliability.
@@jonnysnipes3123 sorry but again this makes zero sense. All a turbo is doing is pushing air in a cylinder. Balance has zero to do with it. That tractor engine just like this engine makes torque very early hence the reason you can drag things. This engine makes its Max torque at 2500 rpms which is really damn good.
why do you care so much about the car engine power. people out here are looking affordable price which has more target customers. theres more soccer mommy than car boys
I drove a Trax, and I have to say that the horsepower is sufficient for the car. It is comparable to vehicles of this price range. Really light as a whole as well. It would be nice if they gave it 150+ but they didn't
I have the Chevy version of the new envista. 2024 Chevrolet Trax. It’s basically the same car with all the same features. Only thing being different is the exterior obviously but I agree that the price is definitely very good for 2024.
Three cylinders is not the problem because it has a turbo I just don’t understand why it has so little power for reference the three cylinder Nissan rogue has over 200 hp
That won’t happen. If it does it’ll be some new electric vehicle labeled a grand national so people buy it. Buicks are made overseas in China and Korea. The time of American muscle and g body’s is over
