I’d love to see this in a full N trim. AWD, 350HP+, and a crazier exhaust sound! Also, wasn’t expecting this to be as quick as it was when rolling. I looked up some dyno videos of this car and it puts an average of 280HP to the wheels! That’s about 335HP crank! Looks like Hyundai definitely underrated this thing! 👀
@@thathondaguy9670 Your name is “That Honda Guy” and you currently own a Challenger that you’re about to trade in for a Hyundai Sonata… You’re a paradox
Hyundai will never make a full N Sonata. They're not going to encroach on Genesis G70/Kia Stinger territory. I know you can get the same 2.5 in the Stinger but it's RWD. If Hyundai put 3.3/AWD in this it would just leech off of Genesis/Stinger sales. With that being said, if someone makes an LSD for this it would be a hell of a car. The open diff is what kept me away. I've got a VN, would love if someone made an eLSD similar to the VN for it.
@@PacoRobbins maybe a trans swap. I’m basing it off what Hyundai said itself, but I think it would be perfectly fine to just put on this platform (same engine and chassis) and give us the same manual as the Veloster
I’m 6 months into my lease and I cannot stress enough how incredible this car drives. The transmission is soooo smooth. This car is such a sleeper, this engine is an absolute beast. 0-60 on a perfect run is 5 seconds flat. The interior is great, it has all of the bells and whistles. I love my sonata n line
@@littleshinythingmy favorite car was my 2017 Civic 1.5T but a lot of their cars are CVT now. The Hyundai Sonata specifically has a conventional transmission so it will probably last longer than any modern CVT Honda
I've recently test drove the 2024 and 2023 Sonata N line. The wheel spin is seriously insane when flooring it. Would be better as a RWD car. I like the 2024 better but might trade my 2024 Kona for a used 2023 N line. The wheel spin is the only reason why I might not get it since I know I'm gonna be burning through tires
Ngll ambient lighting should be a option on every car, I cant imagine it even costing that much to install, you can even do it urself with aftermarket lights
I want one of these so badly! It’s on my list for a new car in the next year or two. But I’m really hoping a refresh will bring ventilated seats to the N Line. It’s hot in Vegas and ventilation would be so much more useful than heated seats.
I test drove the 2024 Sonata N line and it still doesn't have heated seats but it's an awesome car. I might get a used 2023 Sonata N line though since it's a lot less expensive
I am about to start a new job making significantly more than my fast food job and I am going straight for one of these, The Night version with no chrome looks so good! And the interior is freaking beautiful, especially compared to my '04 Grand Prix GTP 😂
@@jackmemphis777 I had 2023 Kona n-line I posted a few videos of it I loved that car with a passion unfortunately someone backed into us and totaled it BUT I got the sonata n line 24 and man oh man this thing is a beasttttt
The Hyundai Sonata N-Line is pretty cool at $34K with around 300hp. And the front end looks a bit like an Aston Martin. I like that they have cool tech like AC front seats. Interesting matchup with the Toyota Camry V6 and Honda Accord 2.0T, but definitely not as reliable as Toyota/Honda.
@@youtubeblows326 blows them out of the water performance wise and Hyundai/kia have make huge strides in reliability/longevity.id take this over a accord 2.0t or Camry V6 all day long.
@@damienroche8837 Camry and Honda are still more reliable and that is the only thing that matters with these type of cars they are not powerful enough to worry about horsepower power they are just daily drivers.
Too many people have not been giving Hyundai and Kia the credit they deserve. Hyundai could make the greatest cars ever put onto the road and the ‘enthusiast’ crowd would find a way to nitpick it for the sole fact that the Hyundai badge is on the front of the car. Sure, Hyundais have their issues and drawbacks. All cars do. But is that really enough justification to write off everything Hyundai has been doing right in the industry?
The 1.6 turbo is a good choice too. The wheel spin on the Sonata N line that I drove is insane, I'd imagine the 1.6 turbo hooks on the road better when flooring it
I wouldn’t mind paying an extra 4 grand for an AWD system. They added a DCT wet clutch, launch control, a solid exhaust but kept it FWD? That severely limits the potential of the N-Line
for 34 grand i'd rather buy a 2013 corvette, or a 2016 jeep sahara, or a 2019 mustang convertible, hell, i can even get a 2022 toyota camry trd edition.
You’re just poor, very very poor. Dude would rather spend the little money he has on a decade old corvette (because you cannot afford a new one) with no tech, reliability, or comfort. This Sonata is meant for daily driving with practicality. Same with the mustang, garbage interior with no good tech and its not even the same class as well. The camry trd is the only reasonable one because thats an actual competitor to this car
@@racksontheway659 really - “tech” is what you’re worried about in a car? I must be doing something wrong, because I’m devoting about 100% of my time when I’m driving to driving and not fucking around with some garbage screen that takes away from the driving experience
@@oNotoriety tech doesn't mean the "screen" he's talking about the tech inside the car, these new hyundai DCTs are snappy and responsive, same thing for steering and grip considering it's FWD. These new hyundai's especially the N's and N line ones are some of the most comfortable racers/daily driver cars out there right now.
@@CatholicShrimp you forgot about is tough rival Toyota GR series which has some cool hot hatches which is far more better than this FWD N line. See N line is good but Toyota's GR corolla and Yaris has AWD so it can go for an rally racing
I mean if you work at Hyundai, what other cars would you see? That's like saying "I work at Toyota and keep seeing Toyota camrys come in for repairs/maintenance. Don't buy one" lol.
Are u serious? What kind of problems? I’m thinking of buying one but this comment made me change my mind, still would like to know the problems that come with these
@@Alex-hv3ir don’t worry or listen to the haters. I own a 2021 and there are no active recalls on the car. It’s a great car, go out and buy it, fastest and best front wheel sedan and affordable on the market right now
We bought this car for our sons 18th birthday and he absolutely loves it. Now he is in college and is so glad he didn’t get a Mustang or any of those other smaller cars. He’s the DD all the time lol!❤
I’m a mechanic and Hyundai is pretty damn reliable, I’ll tell you I see more Ford and Fiat Chrysler vehicles. Parts are also pretty damn cheap for the thing. Would definitely get this as soon as they put out an AWD.
@@epicmeister9786 weird, cuz all the shops here are filled with Toyotas and Hyundas. not even kidding, it's very rare to see an american or european car getting repaired
@@epicmeister9786 My Car is a 2017 white Hybrid Sonata, and has a lot of issues. Engine replacements are common, paint peeling on white is common, oil burning is common. These cars are only reliable to those that have good experience. For me, I don't.
I've test drove the 2024 and 2023 Sonata N lines. Both great but I'm leaning towards the used 2023 since it's way less. What are you averaging on MPGs?
Wtf is it with cars now a days not even making 300hp on a “sports” car?? That’s rediculous. Even the 02 350z/g35 had over 300hp and that’s 20 years ago
Ex Sonata Owner here. My dad bought a 2015 Sonata Limited and up to 2020 had only driven it for 27,000 kms. Which is like nothing. He hated it for some reason. When I got my licence at 17 he gave it to me as a gift. Don’t know why but I didn’t like the car too, we ended up selling it. I am glad to see that Hyundai is doing new cool things and innovating. Definitely not coming back to the Sonata but I would try the Veloster N, look’s pretty cool.
I think if ur videos were in Hindi(or Indian accent English) u would have crossed 1 crore(10m) subs in India . U create amazing content brother. Love from India .❤️❤️❤️
when looking for a dealership do research and make sure that the dealership is not commission based. Was able to get my 2023 hybrid limited lower than MSRP price *disclaimer, there was a black Friday special, also it was the end of the year (the best time to buy cars since they just want to bring in the next years lineup)
Just so you know you'll end up paying around 48k-52k for one. I'm going on 1500 miles on mine. As a daily it's a beast. On the track it can put out smoke. But as an everyday driver sometimes it's weird. It wants to go fast. But in the turns it wants to hug. It's a pretty well balanced car. Especially for someone who is entry level to a sports car. It's fun. It's reliable. It can get you from A to B even if B is 3000 miles away. It gets pretty good MPG on the highway and only costs like 45-50 bucks to fill and that lasts a week even racing. It's a fun car on the track maybe not drifting and stuff but it can preform
I have it and it’s a great car the only problem I kinda have is I’m getting a humming whenever it gets cold out. Like In the morning when it’s 50-60 degrees out when I press on the gas it makes a sort of humming noise almost like something is hitting plastic by the rumbling of the car. But when it gets hot out the sound goes away. U can’t hear it outside but u can inside. Do u have the same issue on your car? It doesn’t sound aggressive just weird even tho the car is in good conditions.
The only bad thing about these MSRP prices is that no dealership is selling at MSRP anymore. Most dealers are having addendums of 5000-15000 mark up on their new cars. 😭
I used to have an 08 v6 sonata and it was a great car. Clean idle all the way into 260k miles til it was totaled :/ only ever had regular maintenance I literally never once had engine trouble
Hope the 2023 will at least come with optional awd or LSD. It’s pretty fast for the money with abundant of tech but as it stand I don’t think it can fully utilize all the power it got without obliterating the tires.
My sonata 2012 2.0T does 295 and I have everything this car has minus the fancy gear buttons lol, my Panoramic sun roof is also 10 x bigger than the N line. Also for those who don’t know, If your driving really fast and cutting up in traffic the N line will have automatic collision detection and you’ll end up having the car hit the breaks on you by itself and could be very dangerous
