Watched this movie when I was a kid, after fifty years it's still one of my favorite western movies of all time. The two bounty hunters in Clint Eastwood (still my favorite actors of all time) and Lee Van Cleef were awesome, El Indio must be given credit for his masterpiece performance as the villain. We don't have this kind of film making today. Hollywood has gotten out of wack.

Gian Volante- so perfect for these roles. That face. The humming and whistling at the start, where the rider is gunned down- I say it's Colonel Mortimer (Lee van Cleef) bringing down another wanted crim. He does this so well. Awesome soundtrack from Ennio Morricone, as usual.

5:30 During an escorted (coach) tour of America some years ago (Route 66, if memory serves) , as were were approaching it, I stood up (yes, I had my recently-purchased cowboy hat on) and said "This coach will stop at Tucumcari". NO-ONE else got the reference, apart from a couple also from Dublin. We ended up getting (yes, buying) a DVD of Dollars More and watched it on board the next day - BRILLIANT! Still a superb movie in a superb trilogy. They sure don't (want to) make 'em like this anymore, alas.

For a Few Dollars More...where the good guys turn out to be bad, and the bad guys even worse. This grisly tale smells like a sweaty armpit. The casting is excellent. Even the 2nd tier and the extras are complimentary. You could be watching a true story. The sets, the props, cinematography are exceptional. Finally, the music is without a doubt perfectly suited. This is a western done right by Italians.

My favourite is the last scene, Clint Eastwood, Lee Van Cleef, and Gian Maria Volonte who are the most beautiful actors at that time are glaring at each other before shooting with Ennio Morricone's beautiful music. As well as excellent acting, the film score adds a lot to the drama and action. The tense ending in a stone circle with the camera panning between the eyes of the protagonists returns in 'The Good, The Bad and the Ugly' with marvelous Eli Wallach as the baddy, but this film also has some good lines and lots of snappy gunfights.
