Transistor shorts mainly burn up woofers, The tweeters in this case immune due to cross over caps blocking the DC voltage

A transistor short will certainly do it, from letting out constant DC and the series capacitor(s) to the tweeter will close and protect. But this occurrence I dont see that often in our part sale.

question I purchased new speakers Klisph RP600 frequency response: 45-25,000 Hz (±3dB) power handling: up to 100 watts RMS (400 watts peak) when i hook them up to my old AV reciever only one speaker has sound could this be the AV reciever?? PS love your channel good information
