You guys really nailed this. Can’t say I didn’t get emotional. Daniel was a special guy to me. When I started detailing in 2006-2007, Daniel was a young boy that came on the forums hungry to learn and start a business. He got as much encouragement as he did flack. People did not understand his passion and drive - It was above what nay-sayers could comprehend. Daniel made huge strides forward in learning and becoming an extremely competent detailer. When I stopped detailing years later and then got back into it around 2015, I always wondered if Daniel, known as baseballlover on the forums, was still detailing. A couple years later I found him on Facebook and it made me so happy to see the business he had created with his team, and at the top of his craft no less. Rest In Peace Daniel, and great job on this video guys.
A true tearjerker. More so because I've been watching Dan and AA on this channel since the start. I'm sure wherever he is now, he wants to give Ben&Ben&Luke a huge hug after watching this. RIP Daniel.
It’s really nice to watch people giving that much care to a car like this one. Used and abused on a race track, but still being classy as a Suit and a tie. The 930 turbo is my absolute dream car, when I manage to achieve It, I’m absolutely going to treat it like they do
Yeah if I had A LOT of money like won the lottery, that's what I'd buy. There's a specific one owned by famous actor Peter Sellers that I specifically NEED to own, as he is related to me so it's like fate in a way that he turned out to have this car I love so much.
absolutely loved the passion Daniel had in the videos I got to see him working in. it's a damn shame he is no longer with us. he will be dearly missed, RIP Daniel
Never in my life did I think that cars would bring so many people together in the best way possible. I also never thought that a video like this would be so emotional and so heartwarming at the same time. I absolutely love this community and I hope that when my time comes, I can have a chat with Daniel in paradise..
When gears released the first video of Automotive Aesthetics I fell in love with detailing and it got me out my Depression knowing how much Daniel and the Team Inspired me with that being said I’m on a mission to build my own detailing studio he truly inspired us on how to care for our cars ,and vehicles. Him and his Team shown us that detailing is a form of Art and Beauty Thank You Automotive Aesthetic Thank You Daniel! And Thank You G&G for Opening our Eyes of the Car Community and introducing us to Daniel and Automotive Aesthetics I appreciate you Guys so Much #ForDaniel
Now I feel selfishly stupid for wondering why I hadn't seen detail videos on this channel for a while. That was the only reason I subscribed because I had just got my first car and needed some guidance on products and techniques. I've never felt this emotional about someone I didn't know passing. I wish you guys all the best. Rest Easy Daniel.
All I can say is that this is beautiful in every way possible. Every detailing video that G&G made with Daniel was pure art. The music, cinematography, the stories, all of it reflected the passion that Daniel and the others have for cars. Watching this video honestly made my heart ache but in a good way. It's a masterpiece. Rest in paradise Daniel. Much love. ❤️
All the buckets of soap i froth up, scratches i polish away, headlights i restore, rock chips i touch up! Will be for you Daniel! Rest In Paradise man!🕊 Fly high!
this is so beautiful its good to see the lads at Automotive aesthetic soldiering on despite all the setbacks they were going through huge respect for them and g&g for supporting them through tough times rest in peace Daniel
@@chrlskrkl ahhh well watching the guys describe the situation sounds like it was unfortunately a suicide. Could be wrong obviously but others seem to get the same conclusion too.
I found out about Daniels passing just yesterday, I was bumbed out because there was always something different about his detail videos compared to the countless detailing channels on youtube. Glad I was able to watch your content, I hope you're ripping rubber in the afterlife Daniel.
Most of the time, people that look very happy and try to make everyone happy like Daniel, are the most sad and hurt inside 😢I know what he felt, the struggle is real. Pls seek help if you ever feel that way. ❤ RIP Daniel 🙏❤
Definitely a great shop great video. And hope daniel is in a goodplace ripin great cars. Such a legacy he build. If your in the philippines even if its a 10hour drive i will drive it just to support your shop now. Even knowing upon going home my car or sportsbike will be dirty again. Hope the best for you guys....
I remember the blue wrx video like it was yesterday. I still go back and watch it every few months. I learned some of the detailing thing I know from watching Daniel in these videos. Its tragic and absolutely heartbreaking to hear that he has passed away. RIP Daniel you will be missed
Hey man! love your F1 videos. I loved seeing this comment as it shows just how wide and connected the car community can be, from F1 fanatics, to detailing artists. Just beautiful.
It’s kinda interesting how G&G does not take the opportunity to bring awareness to the causes of Ben and Daniel. I guess it’s because they fear “ruining their reputation” or be remembered for “x” reason, especially with the way political and social context takes part today. This is a car channel, so i guess it’s understandable and they want to stick with that. If any of you need help, do not hesitate to reach out. There is so much to life to live for. 🙏
Sunday morning, breakfast made, turn the TV on in the living room to G&G, and watching a marathon of the detailing videos. That’s what inspired me to take pride in cleaning and detailing my car. Thank you Daniel, rest east bud!
I just got into detailing from seeing a couple videos of Daniel, and to see this one I really was expecting him to be there I didn’t read the title or focus too much on the thumbnail so it was a complete surprise and it broke my heart I can’t believe it 😢 28y old he still had a lot to ……. 😖🥺💔 RIP Daniel
Daniel definitely left an impact on me as a car enthusiasts that loves detailing, thank you gears and gasoline for filming these videos as he did teach me a lot through your videos 🙏🏽 R.I.P. Daniel🧽✨❤️
I hope this doesn't take away from Daniel in this moment.... but I'm an engineering student striving to do amazing things one day that'll bring a smile to my life one day, hopefully. Something I tell myself constantly is "On the day it's all over, I want to look back and cry, because it has to end" and that all of this will be worth it. I look at someone like Daniel, who did just that, from the very beginning, someone who found his place and passion in this cruel and messy reality. He was one of the lucky ones. And I hope that he got to turn around and cry with a smile, because it had to end. Rest in peace Daniel.
His friends alluded to him going through somethings internally, but they didnt know because he always was the one making sure everyone else around him was okay
Dear Gears and Gasoline, your videos are not just videos. They are a mixture of feelings. The production quality is absolutely next level, best I’ve ever seen among other automotive RU-vid channels. Highly appreciate such good quality videos. Well done and never stop making them. ❤️ RIP Daniel. 🙏🏼
I got emotional, instantly. Because I didn’t know. I wish family and friends my condolences and best wishes. I made a small donation on the GoFundMe just to do something. I felt like I couldn’t do anything - just my microscopic contribution. AA and Daniel worked with me a couple of times. The world is lesser place without you, Daniel. The boys keeping everything alive - I will support them and send my best. I’ll see you guys soon with another vehicle. Can’t think of anything to type now, so I type this. It affected me. Best wishes to you guys.
I can't stop crying, he inspired me so much to do what I love and not care what people say about me, he was more than legend to me, and even though he never knew I existed, he will keep on inspiring me until forever. We love you Daniel, and thank you so much for the impact you made in my life.
We all need to learn this lesson. Death respects nobody.. no matter how much money you have, how many cars you own, how many subscribers you have, and the list goes on. We need to be grateful to the almighty, and kind to everybody we meet. Gratitude and kindness, that's what's up
Daniel was a fantastic guy I met him at hyperfest remembered seeing him in gears and gasoline videos realized he was in cville (40 minutes from me) we talked and he offered to give me a discount for some stuff cause I was a broke 18 year old. I regret never taking him up on the offer
When Gears and Gasoline get with Automotive Aesthetic, you know it’s gonna be a banger video. Well done again guys! Keep up the amazing work of keeping Daniel’s legacy alive!
This video... Definitely made me emotional. You can see the passion in everyone involved, from the talent to the edit. Well done, everyone. Rest in peace, Daniel. Your legacy lives on.
I know this was tough for everyone involved to do. Though from the bottom of my heart thank you for allowing us to have a small piece in Daniels life and in the memories we all experienced together through the eyes of you guys strait into our hearts. Rest In Peace Daniel we all know you’re up there raging the canyons
When I first heard Daniel's voice on this video, I felt really emotional, such an awesome guy, I wish I would have been able to meet him. We miss you Daniel.
He saw everyone who did what you did and still sees them doing it. Best thing is he gets to detail the cars he never got to before now. And he gets to watch us do ours :’)
Anytime someone ever asks me why I love detailing, or what's so special about it... I'm going to direct them to this video. This one hit me for sure. I only ever seen Daniel in your videos, and his passion and what they do at Automotive Aesthetic is what really kicked me in gear to wanting to do detailing outside of just keeping my vehicles clean in a normal owner/car relationship. I can only hope that some day I have even a fraction of the passion everyone says he had for detailing, and I would be satisfied. Rest in Peace Daniel 💜
For Daniel, thanks for motivating me to get into the detailing part of maintaining my cars. I've watched so many of your videos and learned your techniques for perfection that I implement on my own car when I give it a wash. Thanks For those who are disliking this video, y'all got some serious messed up mind sets
Love the cinematography on these videos. I remember when I first saw the detailing video of the blue WRX. Still my favorite detailing video. Kudos to these guys battling on through the pandemic and after Daniel's passing. Wish them all the very best.
never met daniel, but from how his friends describe him, i feel like i knew him. i hope people talk about me the same way when i pass. I could tell he was not only what all of us strive to be as members of the car community, but what everyone should strive to be as human beings. I have seen the lexus detailing video a countless amount of times, and his knowledge is off the charts. We lost a good one.
I was at Fort Lee, VA for training during the summer for about 4 months. I was coming from California and I told myself that “man, I can wait till I’m done so I can take my car to them soon” that next morning, I was ready to go in July 30th and saw the post on Instagram and my heart dropped. I’m a detailer myself because of him and he is my detail role model for the longest. But just the fact that I wasn’t going to meet Daniel was so heart breaking. I just want to say to the team that thank you guys for continuing the legacy. #RIPDaniel
I cried three times during this and I don’t even know Daniel personally, you can just his passion in everything. He impacts everyone positively he seems. May he rest peacefully.
I love that "flow" that you guys speak of. I've been dealing for years and I absolutely love the flow state. I want to make a career out of stuff like this. I adore your shop and lifestyle.
I remember Daniel told me once that he saw a Chinese guy driving a brand new R8 one day around Chick-fil-a and said hi to that guy. Of course he'd love to work on that car. But the guy was like, hmmm... this dude is weird, and I'll just run away. And he did. I was like, "Daniel, most of us Chinese aren't used to the southern hospitality haha." Oh well, good ol' time.
I never imagined detailing would have its own community with forums and things like that XD it’s actually pretty cool man. It’s the one community where it’s okay to be ocd and go overboard “airsofter style” but for once it’s not cringe lol
Man the first ever video i watched from G&G was Daniel talking detailing asian Ben's white evo few years ago and ever since then every time they upload something related to automotive aesthetic I would be so happy and click on that video so fast. RIP Daniel :(
Beautiful tribute. Glad to see you guys are keeping it going. I’ve always believed that the way we honor those we love who have passed on is to keep moving forward, to remember them in what we do, to live our lives. Man, you guys are definitely doing that. Woulda been cool to share a nice cold Sierra Nevada Pale Ale with Daniel (saw his hat). Rest In Peace. You’ve inspired many, I know you’ve inspired me.
I have owned multiple cars with bad paint and have used some of Daniel’s process on all of them. He showed me how accessible paint detailing can be and that there is always something extra I could be doing. This proves his impact on the world and that it stretches even to a small Australian city. I especially watched the WRX detailing video 3 times when I got my WRX so I could replicate what he has done. I will be detailing it and thinking of him. Thank you for what you have done for the community Daniel. Thank you Gears and Gasoline for shining a light on this. I’m sure the boys will continue his legacy with pride. I hope his friends and family are okay knowing Daniel is at peace.
This video really hits us hard, even not knowing Daniel we recently lost a very similar detailer ourselves. They are interesting incredible people that are almost a subset unto themselves. The attention to detail. The always making to make it the best it can be. Not wanting the camera to be on them but on their work. Truly sorry for your loss, without knowing Daniel we can certainly tell the kind of person he was and how much he meant to all of you. Carry bits of him forward with you and he'll influence each of you forever.
A few years ago I saw some of AA videos with Daniel and I knew I wanted him to detail my car. I was extremely saddened to hear about the loss to the detailing world. I am glad you guys are still detailing cars I plan on bringing a car to you guys soon.
I feel like I've lived under a rock hearing Daniel passed. I definitely love these videos and love to see the team moving forward keeping the name going. RIP Daniel and keep plugging guys at Automotive Aesthetics
I always loved and will love Daniels concentration amd passion when he was doing his thing. He's the one who got me into detailing. Rest in peace you fucking legend. You will be dearly missed
