I'm interested how hard it would be to make seasonal events not just bonus mode, but a part of faction war? Like in this one, we could have soldiers who affected by the curse and destroying everything on their way, so factions need not only fight for new territory, but to defend their own from inside dangers. Make some regions "cursed" and if members of faction won't do anything with that, territory just become locked - players can't locate their soldiers there, and it makes obstacles for further war. Make this cursed territories to slowly isolate homeland of faction, so players have real reason to actually play event mode. Edited: and of course making at least descent event modes, not just "let's just delete creeps from dom" or crap like this.
