What a great talk, I’m very glad you made this video today. I’m in America and trying to change my life, one of the things I have started is learning Chinese after learning Spanish. There are other things I’m learning to better my life but am struggling to fit everything in. The points you made about deciding to change your life vs. working harder for a company that can not make your life any better, well I see that here in America too. I am starting to believe true freedom comes from within ourselves, because no matter how constrained we are we can choose to do things that allow us to grow.
That was really interesting, thanks for sharing! When I start to feel helpless or frustrated with my life, I always gravitate to exercise and enrichment... I feel like these things are actually in my control, and making myself a better person will lead to a better life.
In conclusion you meant we should take any chance and time to learn at work, rather than spend the time exchanging gossips in the pantry, or watch RU-vid when nobody is nearby.
This video is not to come up with a one-size-fits-all conclusion for all of us. It really depends on the kind of person you are, and It’s really simple. If you're not concerned about climbing the social ladder or being ambitious, and just want to live happily and enjoy life, that's perfectly fine. Or if you did well in school, and are naturally disciplined, that's perfectly fine too. But these people are not part of the group being talked.
