❤You did good. I know your frustration. I think the exact same way. I used to get so much done in a short time. Now I get very little done in a long amount of time. Something is better than nothing. Great job.
Believe me, as someone who also struggles with back issues, I think you're doing amazing! Your room's looking great, and I hope you show us those seaglass lights turned on. That sounds beautiful. I totally share your frustration. I was determined I was going to keep my flower beds weeded this Summer. A good friend of mine who grows Daylilies of every kind imaginable was kind enough to share 6 different kinds of large ones, 5 smaller ones, in the Fall before last. He even was kind enough to come over and get them in the ground for me, after my husband rototilled where I wanted them to be. I kept up with them somewhat last Summer, but never got the whole bed cleared enough to get it fully mulched. So that was going to be my project this year...Yeah right. I did religiously keep them watered, and they had multiplied a lot, so they were still beautiful. But I got out in late Spring and spent an hour one day. Nothing hurt while I was doing it. So I thought I was good. Later that evening, and the next AM, it was clear I wasn't! Took me 3 days for my back to stop spasming. So I decided. Ok, an hour's too long. So a week or so later, I tried a half hour. Still not good! Since then it's rained a lot, been hot a lot, and we were gone throughout the summer, a total of about 5 weeks. Plus, when I came home from the first trip in May, I had Covid. So that took a couple of weeks, to even feel like doing much of anything! So here we are towards the end of September, and I've done a few more 15 minute stints. My back's ok with that. But this bed is about 15 feet long, and 4 feet or more wide. And off and on we've been innovated with rain, so yeah, it's still mostly full of weeds. I'm determined though, before the snow flies to get that thing mulched even if I don't get all the weed roots out, and hopefully that'll at least slow down the weeds some next year! That's only one bed, but it's the most doable! But yeah, I totally understand your frustration. But you're doing GREAT!! 😊
@charlotte50224 thank you Charlotte. When my husband was alive there were times when he would do the same as you. He'd work on something for an hour or more and be okay, but the next day he couldn't get out of bed and he would be in bed for 3 or 4 days after. It's so frustrating, but then to add on weather issues, ugh, I'm sorry. 😞
Great job! Love the beach theme. You mentioned movers coming and moving the dressers? Are you moving or just moving stuff to the bedroom your daughter will use?
