Very good information . I worked at a Chevy dealership from 67 through 69 . Saw a lot of really Cool new Camaro's come through . Another local dealer was a Hi-Performance dealer and he had 18 Yenko Deuce''s on his lot for about 3 weeks until they started to sell . He also had a 69 ZL-1 on his showroom floor for close to a year before it sold . Options being close to what the sticker price of the car . Great video .

There’s a 69 firebird with 69 Camaro front sheet metal where I live, it’s definitely a project car and the guys asking around 12k for it. Where I live there’s only 6-8 1969 firebirds on the island so definitely a rare car where I live, if I had the money I’d go over and get it.

The firebird is so much more than a camero.

After watching this video, I went looking for gold. Found two XB code rims in my shed. I think they’re for 68 Chevelle. 🤔 No gold today. 🍻

That reminds me, I haven't seen a Trans/Camaro Z28 in quite a long time.

Just my two cents - remember that really the only way to tell what interior color/style that came with the car is by that 'trimtag' or data plate. The other would be via the buildsheet, which I'm guessing you don't have. (Obviously the Camaro has had multiple sets of hands all over it) As to paint color on the roof rails, you'll see that on almost all cars of the era, as it was a common practice in production even for vinyl top cars. Basically, it's just a quick pass over that rail to maintain appearance continuity(when new). This generally applied to almost all GM cars of the day, regardless of body/brand. On the wheels, it was common for the mid & entry level cars to have a body color wheel. GOOD job on wheel code breakdown!!

That's called a War Bird . Guys did that because Ponchos had bolt in axles already. My dad told me about guys doing this in the 80s all the time. You knew them by the Firebird Taillights. I always thought that this was stupid and why not just swap the rear end. But when Muscle Cars were a dime a dozen. This happened.

@backyardbarnfinds
@backyardbarnfinds Год назад
It is a 1969 Firebird, Cowl tag can confirm... the dash in a 67-68 camaro and 1969 firebird a very similar.. not an exact fit but close.. you are most likely referring to the fact you dash has wood grain?

@@backyardbarnfinds The 69 firebird dash look similar but different being 68 bird ignition key are In the dash were 69 bird ignition keys are on the steering column. Just curious that all it just look funky in the video
