Philip, keep the music coming! The prayerful words of gratitude, accompanied with such beautiful harmonies give such an amazing glimpse of what heaven is going to be like. My Chamber Singers are studying this piece right now and, as our pastor said recently (with regard to GOOD music), we can feel the very presence of God as we sing. Thanks for writing music where GOD alone is glorified.
This is one of the most glorious pieces of music ever written, in my opinion. The music reflects the text so well. It is a beacon in a cold weary world. Philip Stopford, you have been touched by the hand of God to be able to hear this in your mind and write it down, and so beautifully convey the meaning of the text. How this got 5 thumbs down boggles my mind(Rutter fans maybe?) LOL. I like the Rutter, but this is just beyond any words I can give it. Love singing it. When I do, I always think of these pictures. You have to be a countertenor. I am , and we always seem to have the juiciest part. Thanks.
NO, not ruined. This is the most moving, beautiful music and I am so grateful to you for creating this. It brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. My daughter's choir sang this last weekend and the audience was STUNNED. We sat in silence for a second and then erupted into applause. You have a God-given gift. Thank you for sharing it.
Just absolutely wonderful - surely one of the most beautiful pieces ever written. And how clever to match the fantastic footage of the west coast of Ireland with the words.
Dear Philip, I very much loved your composition here, combined with the performance by Ecclesium, it is exquisite. Would you mind if I cross-posted this piece to my Channel? I'd want to use my own photographs (the video here really doesn't compliment your music). I shall give you full credit. I don't monetise my Channel. Best wishes, Anthony.
I've found your music on the net. I must say : it's very beautiful; I like " the beauty of the world" and your carols are splendid. Where can we find your records in France or on the net ? Excuse my bad english. Richard Quétin Tours (vallée de la loire) France.
