My best runs basically rely on at least one of my characters being very self-sufficient. Leper, Grave Robber, Crusader, Flagellant. They are high on my personal tier list solely because they require less brain power.

I sometimes think you go too light on offensive skills and trinkets. But I didn't even think about the possibilities of that last Hellion trinket- very cool!
If you think that in the future we are all going to need to learn to code then you are not paying attention to what is going on. AI will be doing routine coding. It will be more efficient. There will still be programmers, but this idea that we will all need to learn it is short-sighted at best. As AI begins to develop, it will do more and more heavy lifting.
