My husband of 22 years very suddenly passed away last June. I thought I’d never find love again. I was feeling very depressed and hopeless, but the most amazing guy has just come into my life in the last several weeks and I’ve never felt this way in my life. I’m very hopeful that this is something that will last.

Hey sophia, I used to watch your yt vdos when I was in my middle school. Tbh, I really enjoy watching your old contents. Coz, the thumbnails and the entire vdo will be filled with colors and creative elements . I really miss those stuffs as an old follower. Then, I didn't watch your vdos tbh. Now , I'm seeing after a long. Genuinely, I feel like you can follow the old style. It'll make you stand out from the other contents!!!!

Since teenager my heart was longing for that special person, that "soul mate" and I could feel this painful void. I was looking for him in every crowd. At the same time I was mislead by the world and new age ideas that "you must love yourself first", so I was so so self-absorbed and preoccupied with loving myself and pampering my self... Few months ago I got saved by Jesus and immediately when the Holy Spirit filled me that void disappeared. I couldn't imagine this was possible. He became the love of my life, but initially I feared that I might have been mislead or dishonoring because in my perspective God can't be viewed as a man/partner (not saying that He is only that). I even thought I was mislead by a demon. But after a while, as I am growing more in my Christian faith, studying the Word and also getting to know Him more... He is like that! And He constantly shows me that He is jealous of my spirit, that He loves me and wants me to spend more time with Him, very similar to how you would do with your husband. Throughout the Bible He is constantly rebuking His people of cheating and being unfaithful to Him, using same relationship analogies. Definitely not saying that He doesn't have other qualities revealed to us, but for women He fulfills this void completely. Also, Jesus saved me He actually showed me true masculinity and when you have that you have no other option but to become more and more feminine... Praise the Lord and be blessed, sisters in Christ!

Also while, in earthly romance, men have the "pursuing" role, as members of the Church, we are part of the Bride, and we too desire to be pursued, romanced, by our REDEEMER. Wonderful Weekend in Him...

So I’ve recently started a Bible study designed after pope John Paul II’s writing on the Feminine Genius and this video shares a lot of the same ideas. I’m actually not very far into that Bible study, but we’ve talked about how Adam needed that time alone with God, to know himself and God, and to love himself and God, before Eve was created. We have to love God before anyone else. Our spouse (if God wills us one) should be the person that helps get us to heaven. My entire childhood I spent wanting marriage and kids, but in my heart my junior year of high school God planted a seed that said “but what if you have your life to Me instead” and at first I was crushed by the idea of not fulfilling my dream of having a family, but I told God I’d say yes to whatever he asks of me, even if that meant becoming a religious sister. After a period of time I even desired that over my current season of life. For so long that was what I thought my future was until recently I had a moment with Christ where I think he let me know to love my future children would be to love Him. I was so shocked a couldn’t believe it, but once again I think He’s planted a seed. Yet he knew that I needed to know Him and to love Him before I could devote myself to living a significant other and later a child. This is a super super long comment, but I just want you to know that I really appreciated this video and am so glad you have Christ, and let Him love you the way He longs too. I love sunshine too. The warmth on my skin is like a hug that makes everything feel better. Sunshine on my shoulders is a beautiful song by John Denver and I totally recommend it if you have not heard it!!! Listening to it makes me tear up 🥹

God definitely pursues us, but not in a romantic way at all. I don’t think it’s right to think of it that way. You wouldn’t think of your earthly father as your lover, and I don’t think it’s right to think of your Heavenly Father that way either. But I understand that we all pursue our faith a bit differently, and I respect that this is part of how you pursue your personal relationship with the Lord. And that book’s message about women being wired to want to be pursued in romance is false and harmful. Not all women are the same, nor do we have to be. And there are many women in the world who are completely aromantic, meaning they don’t feel romantic attraction at all. Therefore that book seems to just stereotype women and act as if God made us all the same with the same desires, and that’s wrong. Gender roles are harmful and not created by God, so I don’t think it’s right to perpetuate those harmful and false ideas in God’s name. I am very sorry for your loss though, and I wish you all the best on your journey moving forward. God’s got you.
