I disagree giving up assets like that for Caruso. That’s nuts! I would go with Derozan and Caleb Martin. Martin had an identical Defensive rating as Caruso. Martin is 6 5 and can be paired next to Maxey. Derozan can be had for 30M for 2 years and way more durable then George. Yes Derozan is isn’t a prolific 3 point shooter but he has never really tried. I think an off season of emphasis on it he can be solid. With Derozan and Martin you don’t have to give up any picks. Money left on the bone for a Nic Claxton.
Agreed, and I love Jimmy butler too but if we give all the money to 1 player there's no wiggle room. And pg13 has been known to turn into George Paul in the playoffs since he's played for Indiana
I was with this until you said trade Ricky Council…we need to learn a valuable lesson from Maxey do not let go of your young promising talent for older players…look at what’s currently happening in the league…it’s the changing of the guards…young players are surpassing the older NBA talent…Father Time is undefeated…Sixers need to take a now plus future approach…also Sixers fans give Paul Reed a lot of slack were plying him out of position and he’s still doing well why get rid of him unless it’s for a big
Honestly this free agent class is dogwater for PFs, if PG is signed we should play him at PF and sign another wing to be the 3. Love the idea of Caruso in Philly tho
I have zero interest in Okoro, but Patrick Williams is an interesting thought. The guy is still only 22 years old and could develop into an elite 3&D type wing. I doubt Morey is interested on taking a chance like that, he wants someone already proven if he's going to shell out a big contract. And hell yes bring in Naji Marshall since Oubre may get offered a ridiculous contract. Another guy i'd be interested in is Javonte Green. Morey has to make crafty signings for depth if he hands out big money to a top Free Agent...that cap space dissappears quick and they still have to pay Maxey when it's all said and done
@@bigbrytunney8753 Yeah i’m definitely higher on Pat than Okoro. I don’t think he’ll ever live up to the Kawhi comparison but i do think he could be grouped in with guys like OG and Bridges. Already an elite defender and 40% from deep. I’d roll the dice on a guy like that.
Any thought in trying to pick up Jalen Smith from the Pacers since his bench minutes have been taken away by Stewart? He can rebound, play defense, has a decent shot and can play some emergency center if (when) Embiid gets hurt.
Yes bring Buddy back , trade for Nikola Vucevic and Jalen Daren to solve our rebounding problem and both players can play C and PF. Then add a Superstar or fill the out the team with players that give us the best debt chart in the league.

It’s a good idea but the problem is the Bulls organisation. They are too incompetent to accept this trade. They will see Lonzo Ball coming back next season and believe they are championship material. If we want this, need to wait for Bulls to stink it up in the first half and do a trade at the deadline

Sign Cam, sign Nico (vet min) as a back ups, definitely sign Drummond as primary back up. Trade for Markenen as power forward and sign Oubre as starting small. Hopefully Caruso can be got.
I really think this is the wrong way to improve the Sixers. I don’t think you need an aging top end star as much as you need to build a better team around Embid and Maxey.
I think Darrell deserves a shot with the cap and picks we have because he really has turned some disasters into some decent moves. He has always star hunted, mainly because of James harden. Now that harden is out of the picture I would love to give him the benefit of the doubt, but his press conferences already have me concerned. If I was the owner I would sit him down and ask him what's your vision. If it's jimmy butler or Paul George, and fill roster from there I would fire him on the spot
If this was Paul George of 6 years ago it would be a no doubter, but people keep talking about he's this great fit and i just don't see it. Did anyone actually watch PG vs. Dallas??? He had 1 great game where he was knocking down every shot, but the rest of the series he was 36%FG and 28% 3PT. It ain't like he's a young guy going through playoff struggles like Maxey does sometimes, he's entering the twilight of his career and we are going to spend 75% of our cap space on that??? The other thing that irritates me is that the guy plays with zero aggression or tenacity...his style is all based on smoothness and footwork. He was getting bodied by P.j. Washington on the boards. In fact, P.J. Washington is the type of player/addition this team really needs. A role-playing stretch 4 that only costs a fraction of what PG would. Morey should be looking for additions that compliment Embiid and Maxey, not a guy who is going to take the ball out of their hands and just look to take step-backs because he's lost a step and can't dribble past defenders anymore.

I gotta be honest with ya, I’m not really sure what this fanbase wants - Everyone keeps talking about Paul George’s age…he barely missed any games last year and just go look at his stats. The dude has been consistently averaging 24, 6 & 5 on almost 35 mins per game since 2015 folks. Will they need more? Of course. Paul George is a hell of a start and will give us exceedingly more than Tobias Harris
Cannot see why the Bulls would part-way with Caruso on off-season, they can simply wait for the deadline and get basically the same deal, if not better (once few contending teams will be desperate)
I'm meh on this. I think it's gonna take a lot more (near superstar level) to get Caruso than 2 first round picks and Reed, who they don't really need. They're probably gonna sign PG then re-sign most of their players. Whoever new role players they'll get will be during the season whether that's another 3&D wing player (who's solid but below Caruso's level) and/or a proper backup big for Embiid.
Let’s start with why the Sixers need help the answer is Joel Embiid can’t get them over the top for 7 years he’s been hurt in the playoffs he’s never going to be healthy to perform at his best
the thing that gets me is like people are so quick to go ahead and keep having a revision this past and the bottom line is is that maybe the guy is unhealthy because he’s trying to do so much more during the regular season and when he gets to the playoffs, that’s when he’s hurt. Maybe if you go ahead and have other guys that can take the pressure off during the regular season he doesn’t have to do as much and then he’ll be healthy. Come to the playoffs. Let’s put that out into existence. How about that?

i like the idea of Caruso but this upcoming pick is underated. We can have Edey for a back up role or other guys they can help and cost nothing. Look at Josh Hart he was the 30th pick. Ben Sheppard the 26th pick, Dereck Livley the 12th pick, Tyrese Maxey the 21th pick. Why have the sixers no trust to do that but think a pime past player is the best chance to get a ring??

Maxeys pull up numbers are very very poor. Shot 28% from pull up 3s in the playoffs and shot them poorly in the regular season too. Not to mention hes a bad playmaker. We had a 78 offensive rating in the Knicks series when he was on the floor without Embiid. We need a point guard.
Need more size in the starting lineup. They would get out-rebounded every night. They need to prioritize a PF or say a guy like LeBron that can grab 8 rebounds a game. Lauri is the #1 guy, but 5 picks might not be enough for him.
As good as George can be, have the sixers not learened their lesson??? U want to add another aging oft injured superstar. Have the Nuggets and Twolves not shown that you need to build a functional team rather than trying to sign names. Sixers need to get smart people in place and make smart decisions to either help Embid and Maxxey or trade Embid for some type of legit haul (NOT just draft picks which the team hasn't shown it will screw up)
