I've had this so much that; Now I have reached a point, that I don't know what love feels like anymore. I have forgotten how to love myself, lost my motivation of life, wanting to be alone for eternity. I thought to myself "Man, if I can't stay motivated I can just forget about life as a whole; Who would love me for who I am?" But then I realized and thought to myself that I lost motivation because people called me smart, that they said that I help people because I am smart; I wouldn't succeed. What gives you motivation is something you worked hard for; which gives you happiness, which would attract every normal human being. Basically, motivation beats everything and if you fail, great! You have just tried a way that didn't work out for you and you've gotta work slightly harder to keep on fighting. Fight against the coping mechanism.

I feel that way too. I have my family and some discord friends, but that's not really enough for me. I tell myself I'm fine, but sometimes I do yearn for that intimacy with a guy who's also looking for that intimacy like me. And right now, we need that more than evee, because I've already encountered guys who rather text forever versus meeting face to face. We need that loving connection. And I hate to admit this, but even I need it now.

All of these hit me. I’m 23 and I have never been loved. The part where “Am I really that ugly, that unwanted, that unintestering, that boring” hit me so much especially after the experiences of falling in love with people but not loving you back. I really wished there is someone who made me feel valued, loved, and heard.

Eh people need to chill. We think our happiness will increase artificially if we are "loved" by someone but it really doesn't. With it also comes more responsibility, more drama, more insecurities, more financial instability, etc. Rather than focusing on getting a significant other, just have a couple of good friends and you're set. Focus the rest of your attention on your career and health. If the right person comes, cool, but if it doesn't, it's cool as well.

My thing was I just focused on having fun and being humorous but be genuine, be you yeah? No intense talks about emotions until we build a good rapport, and remembering details about that person! People love when you ask them about them. Let it flow, don’t think if it as you selling yourself, get in a dance with them so to speak, slowly start stepping, then go in for the complicated moves, and take your time my friend!! Be your own best friend and advocate.

I am 23 and she is saying 'someone out there...' girl, I don't believe in this 'someone out there ' thing anymore. Cuz it is hard to accept for me but loved by someone u love is seriously like a miracle. So low chance. I used to say 'online chatting is a relationship too' but no... It is just a childhood game. I am 23 and I didn't even hold anyone's hands except my friends. And it is breaking my heart, I started to feel like sick when I see a couple or watch romantic movies /drama. So I decided to just accept that. Some people don't taste love, real love and other stuff and die. Yeah that's real.

It's just a basic theory of chance, that even if you don't meet 'that' person, it existed at least one out of all the million of people in the world. Obviously it doesn't come down to anything useful in real life, because it's not like all people can afford or have the conviction to go around all the countries to find a single person. The theory isn't very logical neither, because if said 'special person' existed, then why out of the billions of people that exist it has to be that 'one' person? Why can't there be more than one person? It has to do with the origins of polygamy and what logically makes a person unique or special.

I am 23 and never been approached by any guy. Yeah it does feel a bit odd I remember it all starts at the tender age of around 13 in school..those weird feeling and stares..but I never got that. Then in college..no guy even approached as friends. I do have my lady friends here but now as I am in final year college it really does feel a bit odd I'll say. I might shift continents for a masters degree but now I hav totally given up and my mind says that if anything didn't happen last 10 yrs I don't expect anything in next 10 yrs too. I am notbbeing negative ..just realistic. I am not introvert or dint talk to guys..its just that I don't know whats there that the talks just don't last. I will rather focus on self development..my goals to become a sports physician of a top league team..earn good money...get a good fit athletic body and just stay by myself and travel the world. I do wish I could have a baby though... But u don't get everything in life right? Thats it.

4 years later I rewatch this video ... I was 20, I'm 24 now and a lot has changed since but one thing didn't. I'm still single. I'm happier now and much proud of myself, I love who I became even if everybody still points out how "bad" it is to be a 24yo girl who never had a bf, but guess what... 26 year old guy and I've only had one girlfriend. We initially were very attracted to each other another physically. But in the end, it was an awful relationship that should have never happened, as I allowed her to use me to buy things for her because I was too loveless to myself and naive to know any better. We eventually broke up after like 2 months. Four years later, and I'm still single. But the feeling still hurts the same, and it feels as if I haven't grown at all.

Listen to this guy, after having some horrible relationship experiences, I just wanna say this. Relationship is not as pretty as it looks on the outside, it's tiring, it's consuming and when something goes wrong, it can really go horribly wrong. Start with yourself and be a better version of yourself. If you are too emotionally dependent on the relationship, you and your partner will only find hurt at the end of the road. Don't find a relationship when you're hurt and wants someone to share the pain with but instead find it when you are happy and want to share your happiness with someone. It will be more fulfilling connection that way.

For me, the hardest part of being 20 and single probably is all of my friends forgetting about me after finding love. I knew that when people fall in love they often start paying less attention to their friends but I wasn't mentally prepared for how harsh it would actually be. Friends that I used to hang out with a lot now barely keep any contant with me. It's weird and sad how people are ready to ditch a long-term friendship for someone they met just a few months ago. I've never had anyone being interested in me and I have zero romantic experience. I don't see myself as a person anyone would fall for in the first place. I've even thought about paying for sex or cuddling etc. so that I could experience it at least once in my life. Some people are fine with being "single forever" but I long for love and affection. It's kind of comforting to read about other people's similar experiences.

Also maybe the fact that I hate and don’t wanna use dating apps don’t help idk, I just refuse to use those things. I wanna meet someone normally, in a real life situation. Also I have different tastes than people my age I guess, I love to listen to old school rock bands from the 70s/80s/90s, I’m interested in vintage cars and bikes, I avoid cities because I prefer spending my time in my small town and nature around me. The only times I go to the city near my town is to go to my favourite pub with my friends. I have found my people, friends who share the exact same interests than me. Yet I haven’t found a girlfriend that does too. I just don’t think it will ever happen. And if it does? Well the girl is probably gonna laugh at me and think I’m fucking pathetic for not having someone before her.

I’m the same way but I’m 20. I also refuse to use dating apps because I feel more comfortable meeting someone in person and I’m looking for a lot more than just a hookup. It didn’t bother me until I was a senior in high school due to peer pressure and I feel the same way about people describing you as a great friend but you want to be more than that to someone. You also want to be someone’s girlfriend. And it can be hard not to compare myself to others too who are already in relationships. But the right person wouldn’t care about how many relationships you did or didn’t have already, they would love you for who you are. We are not alone and there is hope for all of us here to find a great significant other!

Be patient sis and if nothing is really working maybe you need a little help finding someone or need to make a few changes idk your situation but i know for me i can start by being more approachable and taking better care of myself. There's no point in me buying takeout all the time, gaming ,not showering or going out and just staying at home yet expecting myself to find a man when I "feel" like it. Not taking care of myself and adhering to my responsibilities and values automatically isn't going to make me feel ready for marriage or even consider it so that's why it's those steps for me. Also I've always been a little shy, especially towards the opposite sex so that's why I need to work more on my communication and social skills. Even my childhood and limiting beliefs that I need to let go of but yeah we really just all need to take some steps to cut out the bad habits and learn to put our foot down and start doing what we know we gotta do. Like I'm sure we all know that we have to pray, or shower, or dress presentably, be a warm and kind person,, get good grades or earn money doing a job, etc. Ofc we won't always feel like doing these things but allowing yourself to fall into a hopeless downward spiral because you just continuously choose to procrastinate is so damaging not only to your physical health but your mental as well. Anyways this was a lot for me to type but if anyone can relate please know you're not alone and always keep trying to learn from your mistakes and strive to do better

I am almost 22 years old and the years go by, I have never been in a relationship and I have never been loved. During my teenage years All the boys for whom I had romantic feelings rejected me… and all of them ended up in a relationship, It was hurtful each time … As I only knew the rejection from them, I started to take refuge on the internet to begin with long distance relationships… but again it was wrong .. they laughed and played with me .. over the years, still single and sometimes hurt what i went through. Loneliness is eating away at me deep inside .. I saw this video a few years ago and here I am again .. At the moment all my friends are in a relationship and I feel even worse. I'm sick of hearing sentences like "someday you will find it" why are people so hypocritical? It's so easy for them to say that since they've known what love is. While I don't know what’s love.. Some people tell me I'm lucky .. but what luck? They don't know how horrible it is .. I cry several times a month because of my situation…
