I translated Iranian singer-songwriter Shervin Hajipour’s hit song “Baraye” to English 🕊 Being American-born myself but raised by Iranians parents who left during the revolution, I purposely made it my own to reflect my experiences as an Iranian born outside of Iran and never having been to Iran.
